I recall a trip a few years later on that line where the loco ran forward both directions,so I’m going with yes

I was a Station Foreman at Wolseley during that time. The Regular loco was 24class No.3643 and the driver was Andries Olivier. Station Master Wolseley was Mr Heidenrich and Linol Roos was Station Master at Ceres.
