I love this, I love seeing people enjoying my country, but, you can't just go to one island and be like you have seen Cape Verde, bc they are 9 habited islands, and each is unique in his own way, geography is also diverse (mountainous,flat,arid,lush valleys,etc), so there is a lot to see. with love from a Caperdean who misses his land

My great grandfather was an immigrant from Cape Verde to America. I have a something inside of me that longs to know more and go there. I have my grand father’s naturalization papers and photo. I have never heard my family discuss any family members he may have left behind. I fear if I search for some of my family history that I may not be accepted

We've just come back. Loved it. Snorkeled and saw green turtles, horse rode on white sands and saw lemon sharks. A dream. Missing the "no stress" motto :-)

Good job on this one...read some people complaining about expensive stuff down there but just keep in mind, Sal Island is just one of the Islands of Cape Verde and Santa Maria is a Tourist place what makes prices being higher than normal. Finally, don't judge an entire Country when you just know small part of it. we will be happy when you come back and visit other Islands but for now, thank you for what have shown...!!!

Beautiful country! I have been to Sao vicente and st. Antao three times in the last five years. A place where i can just relax and be a tourist with shorts and slippers lol. Taking walks all day and swimming during my stay, keeps me in great physical condition in comparison to naija where i eat fufu all day lol.

(Expensive) islands like Santo Antão , São Vicente and Santiago are less expensive, and are better representation of Cabo Verde . Products aren't imported so you pay the local price. Been there more than 20times Sao Vincent, brava, praia Santiago, maio, Boavista. Good place for turismo Speak there language and Also have there citizenship. Speak and writethere national language called criolo Price issue there is becos sal is for tourist. Especially Português, Spanish and British people own shops there. Wish i knew you visiting would have linked you up were to stay in Santa Maria without paying a dime. should have gone to Praia (cidade de velha) thats were the history is and culture. You must have been on one of the first flights from Lagos to Sal,they only started in December19.How was your flight and was the flight full? Did you go specifically to Cape Verde or where you transiting elsewhere. I think the purpose of creating this flight is connecting lagos to boston via sal and lagos to washington dc via sal , brasil and some european countries . Not for nigerian passengers to finally stop in sal island .

Hi Tayo. I love what you do showcasing nice tourist locations in Africa. Good job!!! Is there any way you can give a rating scale (maybe from 1 to 5) on safety to encourage ppl to visit these places? It may involve getting crime statistics, interviewing locals & other tourists etc. That way, countries that are working hard to keep crime down will be encouraged and have a boost in their tourism.
