Brought back great memories when we did it a couple of years ago. Road was rough as hell when we did it and glad we didn't drag our van up. What alarm are you using? And what hitch lock? Thanks
@Ourwhittleadventure2 жыл бұрын
Yeh i think we got really lucky with the roads! Really lucky! We have the WITI alarm system and the Bi-Lock to suit the DO-35 hitch

Hi there, love watching your videos. It’s good your putting the dates in, please keep that going. Liam is going to be quite the talker soon, he is getting easier to understand each episode. It feels a privilege to be able to watch him grow. Anywho! My question is, why do you have knots in the dog’s leads?
@Ourwhittleadventure3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Will keep putting the dates in, i think it helps show what each place looks like at the time of year we are there. Liam is talking flat out now! Full sentences, he has an incredible vocabulary. It started as just a way to give us another spot to grip the lead when we pull them in close in public settings. Also found it shortened the lead a little, same lead but Kostas is now longer, he pulls less if he is infront of Curi. Its weird and its just adapted over the years 😅

Cape York is amazing, and definitely worth the trip up there! When we got to the tip there was just one other couple there and we got chatting as they looked very familiar - turned out they used to live in Ravensthorpe (where we live) and he was our kids old school principal!! They now live in Esperance! It’s such a small world! We laughed as diagonally we all live the furthest Australian destination possible to Cape York tip, far south east of WA!

Thats unreal! Really is a small world, we hadn’t come across many West Aussies for a while then suddenly surrounded by them up at Cape York. Funny how it works out

Hows those kelps liking the road? a tad jealous, i havent done that ( the cape as yet with old mate ) ..the hardest part i found when i got my van is " securing " shit before you drive... it was a learning experience. had a cupboard door come open above my stove, bottle of olive oil fell out and hit it, smashed it, glass everywhere on the floor when i walked in.... not the bottle of oil, the stove top fold down lid. what a pain in my ass.A full fridge is better than a half full one, as in shit moves and can hit your door and punch it open when its half full, coke bottle, big water bottles etc. Ive also smashed a few fridge shelves, ( dometic fridge, plastic trays ) they were super expensive to replace, went to a plastics place here in town with measurements and replaced them with custom cut poly shelves. havent had an issue since, and that was 2017.

The kelps seem to love it, some days they don’t get to do too much but lots of adventures for them! Yeh we encountered some issues earlier on when we did Oodnadatta so we learnt from our mistakes and had nothing happen this time, was still stressful but smooth sailing. Its not much fun when you have a big mess to clean up is it?
@glenod2 жыл бұрын
no its not nice, i did however, i did get that lid replaced under warranty... replaced it my self. ive had a full cheese cake land on the floor, as the door of the fridge got punched open... that was funny when i walked in hahah, one can imagine the language used then. I have a murray river xmas camp planned pending weather, taking drone and gopro and nikon... lets hope i can get some filming done. take care. G.@@Ourwhittleadventure

@@Ourwhittleadventure speaking of vans, just popped out to mine to give the ac a run, do it every 3 months or so, the things stuck on heat mode, ( its 35 today ) i dont know why, remote wont work...long story medium length, spoke to the guy who installed it, can control with the button up top, its working fine but have no temp control etc from remote..can turn it on and off and change through... looks like the remotes taken a shit. mate has same ibis 3 in his van, hes coming around tomoz to see if it works, or not. camping.... where you spend a put load to live like a homeless barstard :)

Hi those brackets and bars across freezer/ fridge doors where did you buy please?
@Ourwhittleadventure3 жыл бұрын
They are just sandleford rails from bunnings cut to size. Usually in the bathroom section
