I would add Sting to the list. His black and white attire was based on Eric Draven aka The Crow. His character was of a vigilante. A dark superhero like Batman and Moon Knight.

The Hurricane was the first wrestler i was able to recognise when I started watching wrestling in 2002 as a 5 year old kid. Back then, I used to think that Hurricane was HHH as his vest had an H in it.

The Hurricane is still my favorite wrestler. Getting that gimmick over and cementing yourself as WWE’s resident super hero had to be no easy feat, but Hurricane made it look easy. Wassupwitdat?

I never heard of arachnaman and I forgot about super Eric Young. Hurricane Helms is my all time favorite superhero gimmick. His best run was with Rosie and Stacy Keibler. The entertainment value of their matches had the crowd backing them.

People always talk about the Von Erich curse. But the story of the Hart Foundation was also quite tragic; and the stable was, dare I say, cursed. Pillman, Owen, and Bulldog all died prematurely. Bret was never the same again after Goldberg's reckless kick. Wrestling is all about storytelling. It's just sad that in a world of heroes and heels, Wrestling is also riddled with stories of demons and tragedies throughout its history.

The most notable "Super Hero" Wrestlers would honestly be the legion of Mexican and Japanese masked wrestlers, it's honestly a really old and popular gimmick outside of the U.S.

OK, time to address the huge Elephant, (or maybe more like a Tolkinian Oliphant?) in the room - Sting. His gimmick under face paint reminiscent of the Crow to take on the evils of the NWO definitely counts as a superhero, and when he donned the Joker-like face paint, he took a trip to the Dark Side and breifly became a supervillain, before returning to his Crow face paint and once again being the babyfaced Superhero again. I'd also add his protégé in AEW, Darby Allen to this list as he's basically taken on a role as the successor to Sting. Sting's superhero gimmick's been so over it's lasted through FOUR, count 'em FOUR different promotions! WCW, TNA/Impact, WWE briefly, and finally AEW. and Spans FOUR, count 'em again, FOUR decades! from the 1990s, through the 2000s, the 2010's and into the 2020s! That's like the Gordie Howe of wrestling gimmicks!

I'd consider Blue Blazer and Mr America standard masked wrestler gimmicks not a superheroes. You forgot tony Atlas' Black Superman gimmick in the mid 80's. I think that was in World Class. Rey Misterio Jr has occasionally worn attire paying tribute to comic book heroes like the Flash for example. There was also the lucha libre "Battman" & "Roben" tag team.

Omg Stacy Keibler was and still is so fucking hot! She was definitely the cause of so many crusty socks and the reason why so many households never had any lotion, conditioner, or really anything that would cut down any friction and making things slippery. I’m honestly surprised that there was never any pocket P’s named after her, Torrie Wilson, or Trish Stratus because back in the early 2000s they were the reason why kids would all of a sudden ask for locks on their doors or to knock before entering as well as kids going from a 5-10 min shower or shit to like 30-60 minutes
