On a day visit to L'acquila, the bus drove thru Capestrano and the surrounding area is so beautiful. I made a mental note to visit soon so your video is timely. Thank you.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment. The area really is so stunning and Capestrano offers so much to see. We hadn't been for ages and we don't live far so this is definitely a place we're going to go more often!

Beautiful and very interesting video. I've only been there once on a motorbike, but I absolutely have to go back. You are fantastic both at showing the beauties and also explaining a place historically. You are more from Abruzzo than many people I know here! If I could, I would give you honorary citizenship of Abruzzo immediately! Thank you for yet another fantastic adventure.😉😉😉

Glad you enjoyed it and thank you again for your wonderful comment, which is very much appreciated. Yes, you must go back and visit Capestrano and see everything we did. We just can't express what a wonderful town this is. It really must not be missed on anyone's Abruzzo itinerary. Wow! Honorary citizenship... now that would be amazing!!!!!

There is just so much to explore here in Abruzzo. We really don't think it's possible to do so in one lifetime; a region steeped in such history with its fabulous landscapes, towns, villages, food, wine, people, culture...

I cannot remember if we said Dutch bar or not but there are quite a few Dutch people around, we can recognise the accent form afar!!! Capestrano is a great location for both mountains and the sea. We are based in Popoli so not too far and we always say that from where we are it's practically 45 minutes to wherever you want to go in Abruzzo as we can get onto the motorway or SS17 in just a few minutes. That's an important factor to consider, otherwise it takes forever on those windy country roads to get anywhere, particularly in the winter. Happy house hunting and if you need assistance give us a shout!
