Saitama would definitely need to use the Serious Series. He has used the Serious Series against enemies like Boros. Boros’ strongest attack could have destroyed the planet or at least killed everything on it. Some even say that it was stronger than that. On the other hand, Sonic has fought beings that could destroy the planet too. Hell, Super Sonic was actually capable of fighting Solaris. And Solaris is a god who destroyed reality by just existing. Capable of consuming all timelines too. Last time I checked, Saitama has never fought a being that could destroy the whole universe with its mere presence. And if he did have to fight such a being, do you really expect me to believe that he would NOT use any attacks from his Serious Series? All I am saying is, even if Saitama beats Sonic, he would definitely use the Serious Series.

Sonic has no chance against Saitama, here's why: Frieza in his weakest form destroyed planet namek in a finger move. Frieza trained for 4 months, multiplying his strength. His base form, stronger than his form when distroying namek, matches the base form of goku. Sonic in his base form, considering all his video games, animations, etc. We can very clearly see that he won't even be able to lift a tenth of the earth , no matter the effort he put into it. So if goku ever fought sonic, it would take sonic's hyper form to even match goku on his ssj2(ssj2 might be too high but I had been a fan of sonic for a really long time. C'mon guys, no big deal.). Goku needs to go on his ultra instinct(for those who don't know it's basically the "hyper mode" of goku). So there's absolutely no way they survived Saitama's first hit(it's literally like the strongest man in the world hitting a fetus at it's first day of development.). Then sonic at his strongest form in this video is like the fetus grew into a one day old newborn still against the literal strongest man in the world. Sorry for all sonic fans out there.
