Marx often gets all of the credit and Engels gets forgotten, but if not for Engels, we wouldn't have had Marx as we know him and wouldn't have had the 4th volume of capital and such Very brilliant yet very... overlooked

Engels never worked on the Fourth volume, he only finished volumes 2 and 3. Theories of Surplus Value is made up of Marx's manuscripts.

1:00 Looking at the cited pages in Capital, those are prices in the old pre-decimal pounds, ie pounds-shillings-pence (abbreviated £sd). The one written as 3.11.0 was originally £3 s11 d00. the remainder were originally £1 s01 d00, £1 s08 d00, and £1 s02 d00. in £sd there's 20 s/£ and 12d/s (so 240d or 240 pence per £). The three smaller prices add up under that format to the larger one. Probably a transcription error somewhere along the line by someone unfamiliar with those formats. Notably £1s08d00 doesn't equate to £1.80 if converted to decimal but rather £1.40 (8/20=0.4). If you ever see weird multi-decimal-place prices or numbers that seem not to add up, that's probably what's going on.

British prices worked in pound, shilling, pence. 12 pence made one shilling and 20 shillings made one pound. The pound was decimalized in the late 20th century. The value in currency that was cited is read as 3 pounds 11 shillings and 0 pence 1:30

Stupid question. So, the worker works, say 10 hours, 5 goes to replenishing labor power expended, and the other 5 becomes surplus value. So, the wages earned to replenish labor power, even that is not any kind of real gain for the worker ? The worker just basically breaks even correct ? So the worker gets jacked surplus value and what they get for labor power replenishment is, at best, to merely break even.....

Good question, and yes, as the price of any commodity averages out to its cost of production, the price of labor-power (wages) is the cost of laborers' subsistence and reproduction.
