sir , why is the depreciation of fixed asset an example of revenue expenditure? As per deftn Revenue Expenditure is the expenditure by the government which does not impact its assets or liabilities. But depreciation of an asset creates a reduction in the asset. So how can it be a revenue expenditure?

You have to show it in P&L A/c. For the purpose of Balance Sheet presentation, the set amount can be reduced from Revenue reserve & taken to Capital Reserve.
