I think in 1D they didn’t use autotune because they said it didn’t sound right with their voices. I’m hoping that they all have vocal coaching and people advising them on how to take care of their voices.

Autotune is very noticeable, there’s no autotune on his vocals here. What he has in this performance and on his live-stream concerts are prerecorded tracks featuring mostly backing vocals only and he sings on top of them. Hence, it’s notable when he doesn’t sing the line ‘.........now I’m out free’ after the prerecorded preceding line.
