I heard from someone in the industry that she doesn't like the "pop star" thing very much. She makes way better money writing songs like "Party in the USA" for Miley Cyrus and collecting royalties. Plus I've heard she struggles with mental illness which can make touring really hard. Not sure if what I heard is true but it makes perfect sense.

Don ellis she’s so underrated! it’s sad that British media and radio stations don’t support her anymore. After “Bang Bang” they stopped playing her songs and when they do (which is rare) they only play “Domino or Price Tag”.
