Speaking as someone who has gone through a similar process before, whenever I see Taylor's performances throughout the late 1989/early Reputation period, I feel tremendously proud of her recovery from her eating disorder. A lot of people may point and claim "fat" or "overweight", but eating disorder recovery is hard, and I can only imagine going through that in front of the world. You never know where and how weight will end up, so you're having to deal with a whole new body every day. In these performances, I see a girl who is reaching the end of her recovery process, waiting for her new body to take form and wanting to be comfortable in it. I'm just proud that we got to see her grow and become a stronger, healthier form of herself throughout this process.

But I can’t even imagine the fear and doubt she probably had before releasing it, considering what all had happened and her questioning her entire career, she went all out and it WORKED!!! She was meant to be the icon she is! Every move she’s made in her career has paid off! She hasn’t had a flop yet (& I don’t care what people say about Lover, that was a great album!!) Every time she puts out an album I think to myself ok this is it, she can never top this album, but she does! Maybe lover and midnights aren’t better then 1989 or Reputation but they’re still great albums!! She hasn’t disappointed me yet!!!!
