When we sell next month's options, the margin money needs to be deployed for additional one month's duration. RoI remains virtually same when we buy monthly options for two consecutive months for same strike price. Please do study the comparison on similar lines 🙏

Very knowledgeable Jegan Sir.. As you told i am doing the same mistake of selling far OTM which never came an opportunity to invest. Almost it has been 4months never got a chance. Sirji, When the sold Put option ends ITM and when the shares get allotted to us, do we get to keep the premium? LIke here in your example when we sell the reliance put at 2000 we make the premium of Rs.80. After it gets ITM and when we get the shares allotted at 2080 do we get to keep the premium of Rs.80?

Yes you will keep the premium. It’s your payment for writing the bet. For example I write ITM CSP on my stock if I believe it’s heavily oversold. I am offering to buy 100 Shares at a loss of 50% in five months. But, my reward is getting half of that loss in premium. So at the time I wrote the CSP, I will only lose 25%. However if the stock hits one penny short of exercise, I’ll get the shares ATM price + $1000 premium.

Sir June month 1700 put is only at 5 rupees Today on 18 may so if I sell 1700 put 250x5 = 1000 rupees which is very very less

The premium of next month's options are much higher than this month's options. Net to net it's almost double , so the ratio isn't affected.

i feel no logic.............let say reliance not hit 1800 and u get 20 rs but what if it rallies to 2300-400 same month and whats next -- what strike to sell as 1800pe wont give u 20rs ...u have to sell 2200pe but our aim was to buy at 1800 just bcos we wanted cheaper so missed opportunity....2) let say rel comes 1700............we r buying 250 x 1700 - need to just invest in one stock which can be downtrend thats y its fallen plus we have loss of 80 rs and so our buy was 1780 ...........its better buy in small qty u really wanan invest 425000....
