Ok so I know this won’t work for everyone but how I do it is I don’t do art stuff during non “work” hours! I designate 10-5 or whenever I finish what I have to do for a certain day M-Th as work time and outside of it I just don’t work at all! I know not everyone works well like this but for me treating it as a job I clock in and out of is what saves me from overworking and having a life!!

Thanks megan!!! Yeah, I've been trying to stick to working the 9-5 hours that I'm used to, but then I get so engrossed with what I'm doing it's hard to cut off and step away from my desk!!

My work from home routine as a full-time graphic designer is I give my self a commute by getting to a coffee shop by 9am to work for a couple of hours. Then I go home, eat lunch and take a nice break. Eventually I get back to work and force myself to stop at 5 even if I don't want to. Yes-- I spend a lot at coffee shops but it helps me get outside/ get novelty, feel productive and I just include the costs into my monthly budget. This helps me not feel super confined to my desk.

I'm a fulltime vendor and my best markets are the local ones that are year round on certain days. Typically I do 3 markets a week and you're able to build a nice following that way. People are crazy about local farmers markets. They will even come out in the rain (which I don't like to work) .

I deffo have difficulty stopping work when I’m working from home. I actually automated my lights in the office to turn off at 5pm to jolt me out of work focus, so maybe having an alarm or indicator pre-set to know when to stop work will be helpful to you as well! That and keeping yourself accountable by stopping when you say you will, I’m guilty of not always following my own advice. 😂

omg im late but i loved the book the unbearable lightness of being! i read it this year in my french international literature class and i think it's now one of my favourite school books ever! would recommend you go read a couple of analysis' on it afterwards though so you can understand the varying layers of complexity it holds!
