I been practicing Capoeria for 4 years. And sometimes you will get on a emotional rollercoaster when you fail to do some technique. Your videos is making it fun and gives me determination that i CAN DO IT!!!! thanks a lot. Now time to practice!!

You dropped a lot of knowledge in this one. Like the 2 medicine ball kicking drills. Bravo on those take down drills. Surprisingly don't see any MMA fighters in America using these techniques in there game plan.
@scarred104 жыл бұрын
thats because they do not work.These 2 clowns are hypothesising about how capeoira might fit in completely false situations rather than actually sparring mma rules and trying to apply them.

This was fun, thanks mate. I don't really have any aspirations of going into MMA or anything, but I do enjoy a good spar from time to time. My teacher at the academy has partnered me up with one of the Muay Thai guys going into competitive fighting since we only have a couple battle-ready Muay Thai students. It was quite an honor, but a bit nerve racking too haha. I don't want to be a bad sparring partner. =P

I am glad that you are getting advertisements even with the demonetization spree going on, keep up the good work, I am a 17 year old Muay Thai, and Boxing practitioner, I have been doing it for almost 3 years now, and I wanted to shake things up, so I just recently decided to try Capoeira, and I am having so much fun with it.

This Art was born in South Africa ( 🇦🇴) Angola raised in Brazil 🇧🇷
@OliverCAOS886 жыл бұрын
she was not born in Brazil and was raised for the defense of the slaves in the 17th century
@compass33096 жыл бұрын
In Angola was just a dance, in Brazil the slaves (descendants of angolans) adapted the dance for a martial art, and this fight style is perfect against saber, lash and garrucha, which was the weapons used by the slave owners at that time. So the dance was created by angolans but the martial art was created by brazilans slaves.
@IamJean-Miguel6 жыл бұрын
Líniquer Evangelista Santana The dichotomy of this makes no difference of this art being from Angola in terms of Nationality is concern, but I do understand what you mean in overall development of Capoieda.
@OliverCAOS886 жыл бұрын
capoeira appeared in Brazil without that one to have come from Africa it appeared in truth what came from Africa was a tribal dance called n'golo that the old masters believe that this dance would have come from angola but not the proofs for this but in relation to the capoeira being Brazilian this was already more than studied and proven ok
@IamJean-Miguel6 жыл бұрын
So your saying Capoeida has no roots to Angola because obviously, it's a primitive art that carries the same elements from Africa from descendants of Angolans. I kinda understand what you wrote here but for them not recognizing the art sounds a bit convoluting but I would like to agree with you on your standpoint but I can't seem to point my finger on the reason. much obliged...
@dorian1153 жыл бұрын
I love the look of this art. I train ITF Taekwondo and I feel that kicks can improve with some times. In terms of telegraphing I think that makes the kick more narrow would help. A hook kick for example could be made more narrow instead of making a wide turn. This is one of the taekwondo principles for kicking. Adding this would help improve techniques over all. Influence speed, accuracy.

Not sure about the grappling part, but I like focusing on certian techniques that have worked in mma probably better to maybe do drills of doing the techniques in a standard mma stance and flow those techniques into traditional mma combos. Also you should do these techniques against a heavy bag, so you can get use to resetting after you hit something, you want to make sure you are balanced when you hit and you won't fall immidately. You don't want to give an easy takedown in mma or general fighting. But good stuff, I see this as capoeria guys just trying to do a little workshop with one another on adapting it to mma. Rather then training mma with some capoeria drills.

Capoeira grade
@karelsintjago7856 жыл бұрын
Because it represent the time when the slaves practiced Capoeira in Brazil. Now the tradition go on but each group has their own color codes, and each color is a grade/title.
@considerthis7686 жыл бұрын
Contemporary Capoeira schools use colored chords for ranking like belts in Japanese arts. The old school Capoeira Angola and Capoeira Regional usually don't use chords.

capoeira should train against boxers and muay Thai so the capoeirista can learn to work positions. training capoeira vs capoeira doesn't open the mind for street fight or mma. i love your work but these techniques you show have low chance to work. the capoeira shouldn't stop ginga and remain static. it's like teaching a boxer not to use the jab that'd bad advice. in capoeira queixada is the jab. meia lua is like a straight right. example: when a boxer jab rasteira the front leg. most other styles core is their front leg. they have to use front leg to get to the capoeira. capoeiristas just don't believe in their style because they're told it's not going to work or you can't ginga in real combat. that's bulls#!t. walking is ginga. running is ginga. wait for the front leg. all other styles ginga on one side by leaving the front leg exposed for the capoeira to work. the capoeira just need to believe. acrobatic s have 5% chance of working but the capoeira basics work once the capoeira have experience sparring and for full contact combat. it's not the style that's the problem. the problem Is most people from different styles never spar or been in a real fight. spar often. boxers and kickboxers spar every week. kickboxers low kick the front leg every chance they get. why not capoeirista rasteira the front leg or disequilibrente? if they fall au chibata to the head ground and pound. capoeira, kickbox, and boxers have better cardio. get them tired chasing you. Don't stop ginga. keep your hands up.
