I just cross watched the shit outta this reading. I have come to the realization today that nothing will ever save this relationship. I can't take a relationship without communication. I can't take a relationship where he gets triggered by guilt of his past actions and then immediately tries to make me feel like shit. The only thing we have control over is our emotions and he has been a loose cannon for the 15 years I've known him. The worst part is being pulled back in with completely unfulfilled promises. His betrayal was beyond comprehension and still blows my mind, but I have NEVER once thrown the past in his face. To be told I haven't changed or I will never change is in itself showing that he can't get beyond what HE DID. I am not even remotely the same person I was. Even when he told me truths about betrayals when we were married I didn't even react other than to say "wow, that was a lot to carry all these years" I don't know anybody in my life that would have handled the knowledge of that betrayal so cool. What it comes down to is I just want to go away. I want to go be somewhere that I don't need to rely on another person for. If he can't trust himself... how can he ever trust anybody? He literally doesn't hear me when I talk and it causes so many problems. I don't want to be with him. I'm pretty sure he doesn't wanna be with me, but then again I can't read minds. It's just a cycle that needs to end. I feel terrible for him, people use his kindness against him all the time. My heart breaks for him bc he honestly can't help but make bad choices.
