Hola Frankie that is what I always say, admit you were wrong, apologize (genuinely) 16:53 and see if you can make amends. Then let it go. You have done the work. If you are not forgiven the burden is now upon that individual to carry or deal with however they choose.

Nobody needs to feel pressured to 'forgive' deliberately cruel actions, or in fact, pressured to forgive anything, at all, ever, when they're unwilling. Letting people lie in the bed of guilt they made with great delight and gusto is perfectly OK. Being unforgiving and holding a grudge can be the best course of action out of depression and isolation. Ask any therapist - anger is a great motivator.
