Dear Julie, having dinner with a lovely summer sunset. Last January I lost basically everything and I'm not going into detsils but it has been brutal. I have embraced the challenge and restarted with 0 budget, having to move back home with just my determination to transform impossible into I'm possible. To cut a long story short I have been shortlisted for an art prize and today the publisher has written an email to me saying they have important news for me. It's not a fortune but it's money and made with my art. It's a famous gallery in Rome and a huge opportunity as I have just started 2 years ago. I'm not saying I won the first prize but it's a clear message that all my efforts and my determination are paying off. My mother in law is about to go into a home as she has Alzheimer's... Within two years she's going to have spent everything she has including all the money from the sale of her home...that's the cost of a care home. Obviously there's going to be nothing left to inherit for her family but to be honest it's worth it not to worry about her safety and to not have to travel miles to put her disasters right. Amazing! It looks likely that the company I work for may not last and they have given the staff until the end of August. Now I was already planning to leave them to start my own business in December, this has just sped things up for me. So the making sure I have enough money to see me through is soo very accurate right now. Also I'm sure they've not told us the entire truth regarding the closure.
