Thank you. I felt him enter the room I was in and knew in my heart my biggest lesson had arrived. I avoided him for 6 months and then we just naturally came together for coffee and, well, I fell so damn hard. That was 2018. I was forced to do my healing when, in 2022, I tried to open us up to talking about what we were - we have only ever been 'friends but much more but neither of us saying anything about it'. He said he didnt know what to say and so was going to say nothing. I had to accept and move on but my heart was absolutely smashed. We are, and have always been, with other long term people. I remain in my relationship and we are doing good these days. I have the best counsellor a girl could wish for and these days I am happy, content, and finding Joy in the every day. I wouldn't have got here without that heartbreak. I know what I felt was real. And I do strongly believe that he felt something towards me too. But our lives do not fit together, simple as. cross-watcher.. I'm the lovers under the moon.. sigh. I would flow towards him, but we live on the opposite sides of the world from each other, and what can you do with that? How can the love you have for someone you can't be with land anywhere? He, Cappie, in turn has since decided and insists he wants to pursue and renew life with his ex, who lives "just around the corner" from him and has custody of their children. I support him, I want him to be loved and happy, but I'm not about to be held as a "friend" and box up my feelings just to keep the connection. Especially, when he forgets himself and sends me mixed messages. However, was insistent that we don't end our friendship - with nothing more, nothing less. I felt like he wanted both of us - and it just ended up me feeling like I was cycling around some mountain that was f-ing up my heart and mind.. and kept me stuck and in limbo, wishing and wanting.. it felt unhealthy. So I've ended comms this last week, gosh, only a week.. to help myself heal my heart and to find my actual person in the country I live.. not the country I was born in and visit every 3-4 years where he lives and met on my last visit at Christmas - you know the unique moments when the first time your eyes lock, all sound and people around you fade and you feel like you're the only ones in the room..? that. Like some friggin Hallmark movie. I watch this now, because I'm still looking for insight as to what this was all about.. and also how he's doing. It's part of my fade-out process.. it's good to hear that he felt something towards this, I needed to hear that, as opposed to being brushed off as if this was one-sided and meant nothing more to him.. I know he felt guilty about having feelings as if he was cheating on his ex, so he downplayed them, and I started questioning what I was experiencing. I am also glad to hear that he is able to move forward.. that helps me settle with the decision I needed to make.
