Thank you K for this reality check. You described it perfectly. There is no depth, it's all surface level b.s. because he's not emotionally mature to want an in depth conversation or relationship. I really appreciate this reading. It's exactly what I needed to hear so I can heal and move on. He won't do the inner work, so he won't heal and all interactions will just stay emotionally neutral, but the cruelly is the way he keeps coming back via a call or a text, and he can't completely walk away. It's passive aggressive and cruel to keep the charade up just so he can feel better about himself and feed his ego at the same time.
