Being an ex-sailor, I wanted thank you for sharing your cruise experiences. It really brings back fond memories. I used to drive the ship when I was in the US Navy. (an helmsmen.) Leaving port has always been a bit tricky, there are so many things to look out for, ships traffic, marker, shipping lane, navigation lights…etc. but once you clear the port and you are on open water, it is smooth sailing from then on out, but not unless you come across an large icebergs in the middle of night. Take care and be safe. 🙏🙏🙏

I am very honored that a former sailor watched this video. Watching the ferry depart is of great interest to me. This is because many people work together to achieve the goal of sailing the ship. I want to continue to enjoy many ferry trips.😊
@DavidChow-n4x Жыл бұрын
@@capsulejapan Everything has to be running smoothly in order to be able to depart from the dock. The line man has to know to cast the back line first so you can swing the back end of the ship out and then he will cast the front of the line last. That will goes opposite when you are docking the ship, front end first, back end last. The reason is because you need to have control of the ship to maneuver ship .
@capsulejapan Жыл бұрын
It is as if you are on board and moving around to set sail. I have always been fascinated by the sailing of ships.😄
@DavidChow-n4x Жыл бұрын
@@capsulejapan You have less control with a sailing ship. But they do use a small engine to move the boat around but not when they are out at sea there they will set sail.

Great trip. Looks like you are trying to complete all Ferries in Korea-Japan route. That rust at Ferry Fuselage, I think it's time for this ship going to the dock for maintenance. And yeah since this Ferry age around 20 years, soon or later it will be replaced by the new one. Ah yes rare species of Scania Truck at Shimonoseki port and that Twilight Express Mizukaze Sleeper Train at Shimonoseki Station, rare train.
