What a interesting accommodation, Japanese style. It probably wouldn’t work for me, I am a loud snore, and I mean a very loud snorer. You pick the right accommodation for this vlog. You get a perfect view of the front of the ship and you can watch it in bedroom. I can remember when I was in the Navy we had to put the rope by hand but the ship was a small ship, a minesweeper. Maybe about hundred feet in length and fifteen feet wide. II this a wooden hull ship, crews of 70-80 men. Being a wooden ship during rough sea can be very adventurous when driving the ship. I generally feel the pitch of the wave with my feet and change my rudder accordingly to the pitch of the ship. You have to be quick otherwise you will be zigzag all over the ocean. Enjoy another of your sea adventures. Take care and have a blessed weekend. 🙏🙏🙏 PS. When I was a kid, we lived close by to the sea. I always dreamed of becoming a pirate 🏴☠️ a buccaneer. Then I became a sailor, the only thing that was missing in become a buccaneer was, a patch in one eye, a wooden leg, and a pet parrot whose doesn’t embarrassed me in front of people. 😂

It is not a very large ferry, but it was very functional and well designed. It was a comfortable ferry trip. I also found it interesting about your childhood dream. I had a friend of mine who wanted to be a pirate when he was a kid. He was also really looking for a parrot. Your comment made me nostalgic. Thank you. Welcome to Hachinohe!😊

Really like this video. Your bed on the ferryboat was very different. Abed with a view. I mean besides the lack of privacy between them you got a good price and if you was very beautiful. Too bad you didn't have to get vending machine food but it did look kind of good. And of course can't have a meal after midnight without a good can of beer 🍻. 😅😅😅😅. Glad you had fun

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to hear your thoughts again. This time it was a 7 hour journey on a ferry with few passengers. Although it felt lonely, it was a good experience to think about various things while lying in bed. I want to give you Hachinohe sake!😊

Buon viaggio in traghetto!😊
perhaps the reason for not indicating 12.00am is it might confuse the passengers on which is the departure day? 🤔

Great trip. Yeah departing at 11.59 PM or 23.59 seems odd, but the reason why they choose that time, because at that time is counted as last trip for that day, and I think this is the only time slot available for this ship to departing. If they departing at 12.00 AM or 0.00, it will be counted as first trip for tomorrow. For that duration of the trip and departing nearly midnight, i think your room is enough or even big room is still recommended. And yeah, that fisherman enjoying fishing close to Ferry.

Thanks again for watching our videos. I am very happy to hear your feedback. There were so few passengers on this ferry that I had a big room as if it was my own private room. The view from the proceeding window in the morning was great. I would like to send a bottle of sake from Hachinohe to you.☺️
Thank you for your comment from Thailand. I have traveled to Thailand several times and I love Thailand very much. Hope your next trip to Tohoku and Hokkaido in Japan will be great. If you want to take a ferry from Tohoku to Hokkaido, would it be Taiheiyo Ferry, Silver Ferry, or Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry? All ferries have their own features and advantages. If you need any advice, please contact me anytime. Have a nice trip!😊

How is it cost effective to run the ferry with just a few passengers? Do people get naked in the communal tub?
@capsulejapan10 ай бұрын
The mainstay of this ferry is to transport trucks rather than general passengers. In the large bathrooms, everyone is basically naked, but it is not unreasonable to wear something like a yukata.😄

I've watched several ferry trips in Japan. Most of the time, there are very few passengers and sometimes, it seems that the host is the only passenger. I wonder how these ferry companies make money?
@capsulejapan6 ай бұрын
Certainly Japanese ferries are not crowded in general, but the video does not show many other passengers, so there must actually be a few more passengers on board. Ferry companies derive more revenue from truck traffic than from general passenger traffic. Profits are not large, but they operate normally. Thanks!😀
