To my guide and friend of 32 odd years, who took this knucklehead of a blind angler and made it possible for him to land a Super Grand Slam.. You're simply the best Mark, and I must tell you that some of my best memories of my life, and mental therapy sessions, were aboard your Maverick with you there as my therapist. So thanks for everything, and a special thanks to the guys at Mill House for producing this video... I could watch this over and over and never get bored! P.S. Mark, how come you didn't tell the story about how you got your first boat and the bets that were made to fund it? LOL

Haha! I want to hear that story!!

@@millhousepodcast let's just say Mark will have to tell you that one. It's pretty funny if you know Mark... That's all I'm saying for fear of being cut off. LOL

Andy, That was beautiful all around. First, and most importantly, I wish your brother the very best. Mark seems like such a great guy. Excellent blend of stories too. I could watch these every day. Keep em coming. Stay well. Pete

Went fishing with Mark this weekend. What a treat it was to be with such a knowledgeable and funny guide. Had a blast and heard lots of good jokes and stories.

Texas angler here, I really enjoy your podcasts. I’ve never made it down to Florida & have always wanted to fish there. Hearing these stories, I feel like I’ve gotten to experience Florida fishing in some way. It’s one thing to see it on TV, but it leaves me knowing there’s so much more to the experience. And these podcasts fill that gap. Thanks for sharing.

Years Back in the few keys tournaments I fished I gained a tremendous respect for Mark as a Guide and as a person🤗I also agree with Marks view on the importance of having seasonal weather change🤗it holds true for my home waters for sure here in Homosassa

What a class act. I want to experience the night tarpon and see the UFOs. And as always I loved the discussion of hooks and hook sets. Thank you again Andy and Nicky.

Wow, Zebco 202 also my first reel back in the 60's! His early years also brings back memories of sneaking out of the house at 4AM before school started and fishing at a lake while living in Pakistan. Use to get in so much trouble for doing this. Passion is a good thing. Casting positive thoughts your way that your brother recovers. It's tough.

I understand Mark on the drinking. I have one beer and I just feel weird, like not myself. I’ll have one pina colada once in a blue moon but that’s it lol.

Could you the the gaff to a shock chord instead of rope that doesn't stretch to avoid getting pulled out of the boat when gaffing tarpon? I guess no one really does that anymore.

Hey Andy! What do you think about doing an interview with Marty Arostegui?! Also I love all these podcasts! Thank you for taking the time to make them I've enjoyed all of them and have learned more than I ever thought I would. Thank you so much for what you are doing!

Andy should have asked Mark about his number of days on the water...my understanding is he had over 365 trips a year for decades...yes...morning trips and afternoon trips during peak months...true Ironman of guiding.

Suggesting to regulate live chumming and cut baiting for tarpon is crazy. OK to regulate it for a tournament if a private group wants to.

Yes, we would also hone our casting skills throwing black flies to the bufos under the street lights at Mark's home. 😀
