My favorite scene is the dummy grenade. If you watch, you can see the only other person besides Steve to run towards it is Peggy. I didn't notice that until after I watched it a few times. I also like when Peggy shoots the shield.

That pre-recorded scream is known as the Wilhelm scream, after the first character they used it for, around 70 years ago

Named after the character Wilhelm in a cowboy movie who was shot with an arrow in what was THOUGHT to be the first use of the sound but apparently there were older uses.

You guys need to understand that many of these characters existed in comic books before you were born and the movies aren't the first exposure for everyone. There was no attempt to convince anyone the Steve died because even the most casual comic book fan knew about him being found in the ice. I don't even read Captain America comics and I knew that long before they made this movie. The character was in the comics in 1940's and the frozen in the ice was the vehicle they used to bring him to the present (in the comics that was around the 1970's). I wouldn't be shocked if Avatar the Last Airbender got the "Boy in the Iceberg" idea from Captain America. Also there have been other media (Cartoons) which have also told a variation of this as well. The movie is just an introduction to the character using the template laid out in the comics. As for Thor timeline it's mostly told in the present but the backstory with Loki history probably happened hundreds of years ago. Red Skull is a human. The super soldier serum wasn't ready when he took it which is why he's disfigured but it worked partially.

For Steve’s pre-serum body, they used a man. He filmed scenes and they basically just put Chris Evans’ head over it.

Regarding Asgardian ages Loki And Thor are about 1500 years old in the MCU. Odin is about 5k years old. So Odin took Loki as a baby right around the fall of the Roman Empire was happening on Earth.

@11:59 when Cap comes out of the chamber and Agent Carter kinda touches his chest, that wasn’t scripted. That was the actress’s actual reaction to seeing Chris Evans’ actual chest. The director thought it was funny and decided to leave it in the movie.

You guys are really overanalyzing the subtitle "The First Avenger". All it's saying is that in the sense of the timeline, he was the first Avenger that came to be because he's from the 40s. Everyone else is from the current day.

You should watch both end credits sequences. The second one in this one was a trailer but it's what audiences saw in the theater to get them hyped up. It's not going to spoil your enjoyment of the next one.

I sort of disagree for this one. I know that if I was watching for the first time, I wouldn't want to watch the trailer. All of the other movies, though, definitely. The actual end credit scenes are always a must.

Watching trailers is the worst idea possible before seeing a movie. I never watch any of them, and never will. The idea is only to get you to go see it, and if you know you're going to go see it anyway, what's the point of seeing parts of the movie before you know the context? Half the time they show you too much also. Can't tell you how many times during a movie I said I wish I didn't know that was coming. No more.

Most of these people are villain's and hero's that are in old comic books. A fair few actor's and actress are from Australia which is were I am from and the last 2 thor movies where filmed in Australia.

Honestly guys, I’ve never heard anyone discussing the title 😂 I think it’s because after watching Iron man, we already knew they wanted to do an Avengers movie (Nick Fury talked about the Avengers Initiative to Tony), so there was no reason to do a Captain America movie and then have him die at the end... of course we already “knew” he would be part of the Avengers... I think that’s also why they introduced him later than Tony and Thor, even though his story takes place in the past.

there were quite a few super soldiers that scientists tried to make after Captain America using similar serums...some are more well known about...and some are less well known...these include: Red Skull, Hulk, Abomination, Red Guardian, The Rhino...but none of them worked as well as Captain America...they all had flaws or genetic defects that made them not strong enough or too strong or too mutated...or too out of control...

There are two seasons of a Peggy Carter show set just after the second world war. Howard Stark appears in one or two episodes of it but doesnt do much.
