Magneto should have a dva matrix and ultimate that draws mass and projectiles. It's weird how the tanks in this game are not really defensive minded, only Peni is niched as a aoe defender, aoe ultimate that is not really super aggressive... now here it comes Captain following +- the same defensive concept. I know Dr Strange has a big ass shield, but he shoot canons dude lol and his ultimate is more offensive minded in my pov, stuns, then kill multiple targets with the "leave me darkness!" thing

Hydra logo is Hive. A leader of Hydra with a squiddy body. He is a mass of parasites that can assist and moderately control people, and completely revive or control corpses, at will. Imagine a support that can just grab dead bodies to do his work, and toss parasites on enemies and allies for buffs or debuffs/DoT. Thats what i expect from Hive.

I think the Dr Doom tease looks pretty obvious... those totems = maps. So you have a obvious Loki token in the corner representing Asgard, a spider Token at mid right representing Tokyo 2099. Doom holds a token that looks like a prisoner, then here it comes the Hydra symbol, I guess this is a double reference... a Hydra Base map AND Black Widow tease. Widow will be the pure sniper of this game, scope and everything, "evil" Hydra agent just like her initial appearance in the comics (she was brainwashed and etc.. you know the cliche). This is yet another slap to the face of Overwatch, because Widowmaker is a complete copy of Black Widow, it's laughable really. They copied Peni Parker, the meteor strike from Marvel vs Capcom, the "old and respectable soldier", the former friend of the "old soldier" becomes a edgelord experiment, etc.. to think people overly praised these blatant rehashes smh

I thought the winter soldier was gonna be more like a sniper but this is way better. I think you can combo him with pull, uppercut and auto to finish off squishy. If the enemy is a tank you can alternate between auto and abilities to deal the most damage. The same can be done with cap. Auto, shield throw, auto, shield throw rinse and repeat. How crazy is that they give cap a genji deflect. Can't wait to see you play him.

I think black widow is going to end up being our sniper character. I agree I like Bucky being an “in your face” character. We already have Hela being a pseudo “sniper” and we don’t want to many!

Maybe but I have a creeping suspicion that we will never get an actual sniper aka black widow type of character. Think about it, nobody really likes playing against snipers because you get killed from a mile away with no counterplay. Although rivals might be a different story because it got crazy characters like spiderman who can swing into your back line in a matter of seconds. I think black widow will play more like Sombra. Stealth assassin character who probably will have wall hack as an ult ability.

Buckys got that pyke design. I love how true to character and broken they make all kits in this game. The level of unity they brought with gameplay mechanics and character identity is just unmatched. Venom and cap seem like theyre going to have very similar gameplay loops on paper-dive, brawl, disengage but the actual experience that each character seems to offer is just so drastically fresh even if theyre doing the same thing because of that character identity. Theres gonna be that general gaming stratagen- dive brawl disengage, but each hero is going to follow their own gameplay plan the way they would in comics. They captured the essence of heroes so well.

The could solve this visual oddity by changing the gun to a futuristic sawed-off shotgun... it already functions like this kind of shotgun, only two shots. The small gun is a scapegoat, because the character is supposed to shoot and use his bionic arm at the same time, can't have him holding a rifle. Honestly not a big fan of Winter Soldier as a whole, rather had Ghost Rider using the chain + shotgun combo... the Rider is infinitely more charismatic than Winter Soldier, not even a contest

@@corbanbausch9049 The negative side of this kind of design philosophy is how you allow entry level characters to be busted, which is the case of the Punisher (and day 1 Brigitte). One of the many reasons why Overwatch imploded imo, the devs wants to make every character viable at every situation, ends up rewarding the lowest skill ceiling, meanwhile the Black Panther player (or Doomfist, Genji, Tracer, etc) have to work twice as hard to generate a similar impact. That's not good gameplay design, especially in a "competitive" game. Mauga is a perfect example, why should you tryhard with Doomfist or Hammond, have to know every angle and health pack placement, can't commit mistakes, etc.. if you can just hold two buttons as Mauga?

Hulk needs a small rework... a reddit user (in other words, myself) published a rework on the marvelrivals sub, I think he nailed it. Jokes aside, no more bubbles and spit (a power block and slam that hinders instead), Hulk can transform 3 times on a cooldown and his ultimate should be the meteor strike... tank Doomfist actually being a tank, yes
