I grew up near the shores of Botany bay and learnt about Captain Cook from a very young age. Very nice to see the museum in the UK.

I went to Whitby in the summer holidays and the museum there has some captain cook items you should try that museum too. Lots there for thumps ❤ you can go on a boat ride into the sea too 😊 xx

I'm really interested in seeing the Captain Cook Museum! Inspector Morse's first name 'Endeavour' came about because fictionally his Father was obsessed by Captain Cook, & Endeavour was his ship. Morse's Mum was a Quaker & Quakers give their Kids names like Hope or Patience. Hence the name Endeavour. I'm an Inspector Morse Freak as if you couldn't guess😂

She kept asking him what it was so he took her for a drink in a pub with Sargent Lewis & told her his name was Endeavour Morse. And Lewis said to him "you poor sod!"🤣

Very interesting. I must admit that I was not aware of there being a museum for Capt. Cook. Should I ever get to be in that part of the country (well, you never know, after all, I did get to Yarmouth for the first time last month!) I will definitely visit.

It's all about Middlesbrough through the years. It's opposite Albert Park. Just off Linthorpe Road. Ask your Mum, she should know.

Loved it not been there for years the replica of Endeavour is docked at Whitby it's a restaurant and education center it used to be moored at Stockton but moved a couple of years ago xx
