In the 1980s, American army Standard Operating Procedure was to carry the field dressings in a small pouch on the Load Bearing Equipment. The pouch was located on the right side of the belt between the buckle and the first magazine pouch. Today medical kits have expanded and many carry what is called an IFAK. Individual First Aid Kit.

@gfjewellery3929

War isn't too scary... It's just that your gonna hear stuff like stuff you hear when you put your hands on your ears to block some kind of noise.. I recommend living anywhere as long as the country's neighbors aren't too aggressive like Ukraine and russia | Pakistan and india. They can really go violent anytime I mean Ukrainian vs Russian war is happening but just take it as a example. Also if you learn self defense like a little bit 🤏 that could also help just in case your that bad in using guns and knifes or whatever. Also it doesn't really matter if your trying to escape or in military because somehow they're going to put you in military. If your under 14 there's a chance they might get you to safety and not make you fight with guns but there's gonna be a possibility that most likely that kids under 14 and over 14 may fight. But it's a chance.

How was tension pneumothorax treated in the field and at a field hospital level? I don't see bandages doing much for that.

Sucking chest wounds probably didnt have a good fix besides surgery at that point, I imagine they knew you had to get the air out and probably still used a big ass needle lol

Probably wasn’t something people were knowledgeable about. Most advances in pre hospital care have happened in the past 30 years. If they did know i’m sure they used an occlusive dressing. Not supper rare for the time.

It isn’t really shown how it works. Probably isn’t anything like a pressure dressing. Might be some simple gauze. Edit: From quick research it’s simply rolled gauze. Not a compression dressing.
