I would love to hear more about winter fishing, including water temps, baits, depths, structures made of wood vs. rock, and heavy current vs. no current. This is only my second year fishing for catfish in the winter, and I'm getting skunked every trip. Information is king, and I need as much as I can get.

While you're in Texas get with 903 fishing and get you a mess of crappie ☺️👍. I still say I'm going to book a trip in North West Alabama with you Spencer. I'm 70 I have never caught a flathead ❤

Can't use any kind of game fish for bait in Alabama. But you can use blue gill and sunshine fish all day.😁 in

The red river of the north has been decimated. We catch 20-30 pound channels on regular in spring in southern Michigan on the st joe. Just check out the mcats tourney results. Michigan is a catfish GEM. Flatheads 40+ pounds and channels that get up to 30+. A place where people literally laugh at you for catfishing.

The bad thing about North West Alabama, we can't use white bass for catfishing 😮

How do you guys feel about carp for bait I mainly fish a body of water that doesn't have skipjack or shad st Joseph river in Indiana and Michigan

We do tournaments on the st joe in Michigan. Shad is king. Live or dead. Or creek chubs and gills, crappie. I mean carp works don't get me wrong. But scent wise. Shad is the best for up here.
