It struck me that Carol Danvers may be a mutant with an energy absorption mutation. That would explain her ability to not be killed by the energy of the Cube like everyone else before her. Goose can touch it because he is an interdimensional being. She is not. I believe the comics now list Carol as a mutant. Also, Wanda, and now Monica Rambeau, can make the same claim to being powered by an Infinity Stone. And for the record, it was Annette Benning that played Mar-Vell, not Ms. Larson. Brie played a character the Kree called Veers.

Honestly, this one of the blandest of the MCU movies. There's a big lack of character development in this versoin of Carol Danvers. The same is said about her comic counterpart since 2012. Honestly, she was so much more decent when she was the original Ms. Marvel. The REAL Captain Marvel of Marvel Comics is Mar-Vell, who, by the way, wasn't a gray-haired female like in this movie, but rather a younger Kree who happens to be male. Yes, the original Mar-Vell was 10 times better than the arrogant man-hating monster that Carol has become since 2012.

Where did you learn English at a second-grade level? And for the record, I am a man, and would hardly call her man-hating, unless you are saying that Fury and Talos are not men. She also doesn't seem to hate Cap, Tony, Peter Parker, and many other men she meets on Earth. What she does hate are bullies, and it isn't her fault that most of those are male in the film. But she also hates Minerva. Is she a man?

@@heinleinreader Have you seen how egotistical she's been since she became Captain Marvel in 2012 in the comics? For example, in the recent Indigenous Voices, she explicitly says "Lose the men." The artists also try to make her too manlike in appearance. But hey, Brie Larson was an excellent choice to play an already hated version of this character. I like to focus on the pre-2012 days of the comics. Nowadays, we need Rogue to come and drain Carol of her powers, like in the 90s X-Men show. One adaptation that portrayed her right was in show The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.

And for the record, not only have I seen all those shows, I have them all in my massive collection of DVDs. I have thousands of DVDs. I also have a subscription to Disney+, and that gives me access to those shows that way as well. I suppose you don't like She-Hulk because she breaks the fourth wall, but you love that about Deadpool. I suppose it is alright that both Tony Stark and RDJ are as arrogant and self-important as it gets. It's OK for a guy to be that egotistical, but not for a woman? And it isn't possible that you could be misreading what she is saying as egotism when she is really standing up against the abuses of misogynistic morons trying to control women beyond reason? You want a 1950s woman in the 2020s. And you don't see that the unreasonable behavior is yours, not hers? How can you be so self-righteous?
