The only reason my hype level for this film is not as high as say any of the Avenger, Cap America, Iron man or Spider-man films...is because I really don't know much about the character. The hype for me is still quite high but it's about the same as it was for Ant-man, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dr Strange and Black Panther. I did not know these characters as well as the others. The hype is up there mostly because it looks awesome and it's something new which I'm all for. Then again I guess I'm just not that picky. Even thought many consider Thor: The Dark World to be the worst of the MCU films I still enjoyed it...it's my least favorite of all of them but still enjoyable to me. Obviously I want Capt Marvel to be amazing but for me even if it's just great or good then I'm all in.

Really? Okay. What was the Green Lantern's job before being recruited by the Lantern corp.? Pilot. What appears to be her job before being brought into her group of heros? Pilot. They both are able energy blasts from their hands, they both can use their powers to fly through space and they do so wearing a kind of dumb looking suit that is CG. Not saying that this movie will suck like Lantern did, but you have to admit that there are similarities.

I'm just a casual comic fan and I assumed that there are going to be differences. I'm just saying that what I've seen in this trailer and what I remember seeing in the Green Lantern movie (I've blocked most of it from my memory) are similar. Both pilots, both have a terrible looking (in my opinion) CG costumes, both appear to be humans that are chosen to be part of an elite alien group of heroes and both use some sort of energy blast that comes from area of their hands. Hence the Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern vibe I'm getting from this trailer. I just hope it's a better movie than the Green Lantern one.
