Just because Odd Future was popular as shit in 2012-2013 for being "weird ass kids" does not mean that now everything in modern rap that's just a little bit different from what everyone else is doing, involves them. No disrespect on them, like I love my dudes in OF but let's be honest for a second, Tyler and Earl WISH they had this amount of raw originality. Captain Murphy and Tyler the Creator (being the most relevant member of OF) are just on completely different levels of creativity. Sure their styles may be aimed in similar directions but see Tyler has been know to pretty much sprinkle his own unique weirdness onto other existing rap styles and take his work from there, whereas Murphy has legit created his own authentic sound/genre. This project is much to professional and original and focused and lyrical and themed for any of the members of OF to have produced. I forreal feel like some of you guys ain't even really listen to these songs. I'm positive that like 99% of the fanboys that think this is Odd Future only listen to the first couple seconds of Murphy's verses and instantly think of Tyler and the older OF compilation tapes because of the voice warp.

I agree, people are gonna naturally be curious, but it's pretty likely that Murphy has a reason for not revealing his actual identity, either for artistic or practical reasons, and as fun as it is to talk between each other as fans, getting mad and aggressive (not referring to you but I've seen it) because he keeps it a secret is dumb.
