The mad Axe man. No one mastered a Flying V like Mr. Schenker

Absolutely flawless. He goes into what I call this very distinct "European" mode. Just so beautiful.

The great Michael Schenker. He gets better with age. Been a big fan of his music since the seventies. One of my favorite guitar players. Keep Rocking 🎸🎸🎸!!!!

Capt Nemo was the last song I played (finally, 15 yrs trying) on my guitar the night b4 I suffered a stroke that left my "fretting" hand paralyzed.

A great crisp version. He makes it look so easy doesn't he? I think there was one note towards the end that was....just a little off. Lol/ Noticed his R elbow wrapped up. Well this covid break should let him heal. Amen.

This was such a great show. One of the very best times I saw him play. The Palace of Fine Arts was an amazing Venue. Also UFO at the Edge in Palo Alto in '95 and MSG at the Keystone Palo Alto in '84.

Technically proficient yet I think Michael not only knew what the melodic speed limits were but how to find them perfectly in his solos. The Shredders that followed him loose a listenable melody in too many notes. I'm looking at you Vinnie Moore......... His deconstruction of the Love To Love solo is an example.
@michaelcraig94492 жыл бұрын
Exactly! They miss the whole thing..The shredders usually turn it into a boring guitar olympics with no real songs! It looks real cool for the first 10- 20 minutes but then it losses the effect and turns into a snoozefest. Mike knew what to do.. Most of the modern shredders totally miss the lesson of the great 60-70's guitarists. They could have shredded every second, just like an 80's shredder, but they knew better not to.

F75king fantastic. I saw him open with this at the Aragon smellroom in Chicago in 1984. If you have been there you know what I'm talking about. But I digress...this version is so....and he makes it look so.....easy. Notice the wrap on his left elbow. What is Michael, 65? This break....while hell...who knows...maybe he'll come back and play it again. Thumbs UP!!! Yeah.
