This video should help get us thru a long winter with no ships to watch. Gotta love the Barker's whistle - it's the best. BTW, my dad always told me that a Captain's Salute is 3 long/2 short. He was a captain, and if I was at the pier when he came in, that's the salute he blew.

+Heidi St. Louis They tell me the captain's salute is 1 long and 2 short and the master's salute is 3 long and 2 short. The Master Salute is reserved for important people or important occasions, so your dad must have thought highly of you!
