I love watching these big ships push the water around themselves. Some are stylish and some are function over style but the one thing most have in common is they need paint. Hard to do when they work most of the year and get beat up like a dumpster. It would be nice if they made a paint that could be used during winter lay up. At least you could paint the scuffed up places and keep the rust at bay. Each ship has it's own personality so it would be nice if they could be kept looking good.

They do put tarps over sections and paint them in the winter. The locks and docks are rough on the lakers though, so they end up scraping the new paint off.
