Perfect glide slope. Kochi has such a scenic approach and if lucky enough one can see the Athirapalli waterfalls during the approach. Awesome video cap.

Nice view and good landing. Airport also looks great. Only thing I wish is in general, Indian airports could be a bit bigger with at least 2 runways thereby future proofing.(just a wish that our standards could be on par with international level.)

There's not much demand for aeronautical traffic in Kochi, thus limiting to single rwy, nor there is any room for expansion unless rhey can be acquired or build a second airport. That is if Kochi get more Asian flights and transcontinental routes

I'm so happy to see this video..that's my home town. There is a place near my home , where all planes need to take turns until they get a signal to land.. From 0:01 Till 5:49 the Weather Radar was continuously showing the flights location in clear skies while its flying in the midst if dense clouds. Wonder if the radar was working fine or did i interpret it right?

The weather radar does not detect the cloud itself but percepitation within it. So if the cloud does not contain any hail or (large) raindrops, it will not depict anything. Also the weather radar tilt is being moved from an downward deflection to an upward one whilst descending below a patch of rain clouds, also altering the picture.

Is flying an aircraft in rain same feel as driving a car in rain, or is it safer? Can a plane skid on tarmac like a car could skid on road during rains? Recently while driving through TVM-EKM-TCR-PGT, I had to put the wiper at top speed and yet, drive blind at 80 kmph on the highway. Fortunately my Honda Amaze gives me very good control. Surprisingly, other cars were still zipping past, heavy rains or sunshine. I kept to the speed limit

Wow🤩 I must say that the feeling is almost the same but an aircraft in rain is a much safer option as we have various precise navigational aids along with gps which help us land accurately on the runway even in very poor visibility conditions. Yes a plane can skid on the tarmac but to avoid this we too have different speed limits for wet/dry/contaminated conditions.
