Completely agree with this take. Love the game core, when matched with someone with decent connection the game is playable and fun, but the terrible netcode and the overuse of twins kills it. Btw, are you aware of Analyse shot exploit? That guarantees a goal everytime from a specific point? Finally, I'm having some fun creating some custom players that you will find really funny.

Good on you for making this video, I agree with everything really, the online experience with the Tatchibana twins forced me into making optimal forwards to make as much damage as possible to the keeper, which is another I feel needs to be addressed, most of the community actually complains more about how useless other keepers in comparison to Muller, specially due to the huge potential of custom players that make them have the ability to even one shot Muller with a good combination of skills, and while I do love the potential of the different several builds you can do it's so frustrating to see all your hardwork into making a good well thought out and planned player and gaining an SSS rank on most matches of new hero mode only to be stomped by someone who plays a speedy Gonzales that crosses to the attacker custom player and tachibana twins for the Skylab twin, as a Tsubasa fan you can pretty much ask everyone and they'll agree that the offline play is much more fun than online, the new hero mode has some pretty good character moments for the characters as well as difficult challenges to test your skill and not to mention again the potential of the several different builds you can try and expirement with, I've made more than twenty characters to this point and I'm still discovering new great builds and combination of different stats, so if the devs just give the online meta balances and better smoother netcode this game could have the potential to be hugely successful and beloved project, but as it stands there are too many frustrating things about online to even play four to five matches before quitting for your own sanity

My experience has been pretty much the same. Your videos and streams really got me hype to get the game, and I don't regret my purchase one bit. I had a lot of fun with the game. I have the switch version because I heard the PC version was unplayable. I don't have too much of an issue with the game's performance, but I do find it odd the Switch has a hard time running it smoothly since there are way more graphically intense games that the Switch handles fine. Once I got my fill of the single player and creating my perfect Seleção Brasileira de Futebol, taking that team online was frustrating. It takes a very long time to matchmake, and once you find a game it's so upsettingly desynced and laggy like you've shown. I hope something gets done about fixing these issues because this game is so fun when it works. But I'm losing my hope that something will get done about it.

I personally only play online once a day outside of that I make CACS which I think that's where most of the time went honestly how the characters interact with your CAC feels great and you see how character's can be assholes but then you get their bond up and your like oh wow there not that bad of a guy and I'm hoping the dlc let's you continue further like if you got recruited by another team the dlc let's you play for that team in the future and you could go against japan and the other teams on that team you got recruited by

Thanks for making this video. Hopefully this gets some attention because its obvious whoever balances the game does not read the subreddit. I get entirely fixing the twins might take a while, but they could just make it so it consumes a lot more stamina/spirit, or just put a hard limit on how many times they can use any skylab skill per match until they fix it. Mueller is also an easy fix, as well as Wakabayashi's skill. There are also about 7 other players who break the online at higher ranks. What is also dumb is Misugi can only play half a match to be lore accurate, which is fine, but the developers completely forgot even in this game's story mode the twins have to be careful using any skylab skills because it uses a ton of energy, so they should of just made it so you could only use x amount of skylab shots per game of per half, because even if that is not a good solution it's better than nothing, which is what the developers are doing.

I bought the game not long ago, back on discount, on Steam, thanks to your recommendation. I like the game and I enjoy the gameplay a ton, but even with the hype back then, there's less than 4000 peak player count on Steam. Then, coupled with the way its online cannot maintain its stability, it's very hard to keep them playing. They need a miracle to bring this back into the limelight, and I hope they're working hard on improving the online experience. There's no challenges and rewards for playing offline Versus / Room Matches too so offline's not helping either.

It's really sad that a game with so much potential dies from the lack of debugging before and after launch. I'm a real fan of this series and I absolutely love this game... but it's hard to recommend, as its only usable mode is a campaign designed to repeat multiple times in order to perfect each player position with a custom character SO YOU CAN USE IT ONLINE. It really hurts me, because as you said there are still a lot of bugs and glitches in the game, even exploitables where you can have 2 players that blocks everything and, at the same time, works perfectly in offense 1-2 shotting goalkeepers in a simple side center. And then, after 2 months, they launch the CC shop... Again, it really hurts, because this surely means they do not know how to fix the bugs or do not have the resources to do it, and both of this reasons means that the game lacked proper planification (imo I think Bandai rushed the developers and launched the game as soon as possible, with the common strategy of "nah if something breaks we'll fix it asap, no problemo"). Man I feel sad right now...

Its the Double Force Shot from Carlos and Alberto from Team Brasil. If you want the shot for the create player you need to level up the friendship levels of Carlos and Alberto to S before the finals and be in the brazil route (to be in the brazil route level up carlos level to B ou A before the match againts Italy, the third match in the World Challenge). After you beat the semifinals, a extra event will occur and then you can chosse who do you want to do the shot with. Before the match in the finals, a special mission will appear, complete the mission and you get the shot. And don't forget to select Carlos and Alberto in the card selection when going in the Word Challenge.

Sounds about on brand for Bandai unfortunately. Once they release stuff theyre pretty hands off. I think a lot of this could be fixed with a change in how goal system works or implementing a mini game system so people cant just brute force constant special moves.

The Problem with the Twins is not just the block bug but also the overwehlming power of the 2 Person skylap and 3 person Skylap. These togehter with the bug are making online games basicly unplayeble if u not using the same Taktik. And if u lucky u get someone without the Twins but with Müller. witch means if that person is halfe way good at the game most games end on a 0-0 because the game has not much varring in playstyl. So if u know how to stop someone, there will be only a couple of shots in the game.

I could not agree more. The online in this game needs SERIOUS revamp. As well as some of the characters. The Tachibana Twins are a prime example (have the best defensive block and combo shot in the game), but another example is Ryan. From a certain angle, his Analyze Shot will get past a Full Meter Muller off the FIRST shot. Edit: Another broken thing is how exploitable the “Spirit damage to keeper” buffs on a custom character can be. I was playing a match where someone had Hyuga’s Captain Skill, and they took a shot from the halfway line (not even a powered shot, just a tap of the A button) and it got past a FULL SPIRIT Zino Hernandez. So, while the Online is completely busted because of lag etc, there are some core mechanics that need to be fixed as well.

I’ve been playing online for about 2 days. The connection issues and matchmaking, especially as low rank vs a high ranked player. If I hadnt learned the dribbling micro plays, I would’ve lost really high. With all the lag in the game, it totally ruins your expirience. I’ve come so far to say screw it, I’m just gonna go for the daily rewards and that’s it. And if you don’t play online, you are having a huge deficit gathering the points to buy the booster packs.

Gonna be completely honest the biggest issue with this game is the online outside the bugs and glitches it's just not fun to play online which is a shame especially for Switch Owners this is the closest thing Nintendo fans have to a Mario Strikers game in a long while yet the the online matches after the first month have gotten worse. Outside the online however the single player in all honesty is the best part about the game currently. Hell I still love making custom characters and just playing against the AI with said customs but online is where they are at their worst unless you run into the rare occasion of a no custom teams but the bugs and glitches still ruin those.

My only real complaint is that they prioritize online gameplay as the only way to get play points but online is a mess and some people rather not play online or don't have access to it since it cost money most of the time. They have to make play points attainable through offline mode. New Hero mode takes on average and entire day to complete with so little play points and repetitive story matches. Play points are vital for a trophy completion and online shouldn't be the answer to attaining it.

And why has this still not been fixed 2 months after launch?! Or the bug with Ryans analyzeshot or whatever it is called, everytime you make that shot outside of the penalty area, when you are on the right side of the gk, it is going to go in. I agree. Like 8/10 matches online I play against Tachibana/ Analyze Shot abusers and it's just frustrating but the 2/10 legit matches, that have minimal lag and no bugs happening ,are incredibly fun if you find any of these. So I really hope they start fixing things

The Analyze Shot can be easy block if you have a good block like (without the Tachibana blocks) "Face Block" (Power: B; Range: A) from Ishizaki.

Tbh, nerfing Tachibanas is one of the easiest things to do. Simply make it accurate to the manga, they can only use those special techniques a few times in the match. After that their legs can’t keep up. Easy enough.

I feel like this restriction should be connected to another mechanic in the game like spirit or V-Zone. E.g. the Sky Lab Twin Shot only procs when V-Zone is activated. OR just nerf the strength to SS instead of SSS and make it cost all their spirit if they use it and if they' re below 80% spirit it wont proc

Dude ive grinded this game a bit and if you have only experianced the skylab hurrican and not the skylab twin shot you should be glad, its by far the strongest shot in the game and the worst part is a cac can learn it and use it with the twins. My worst match by far was someine who was abusing the block bug with the twins and had pass combos on the wings. You can guess it he golden duoed his way to the left or right wing crossed it and skylab twin shot. The worst it destroyed even müller with minus 75% stamina. This match was pure frustration and the reason why i dropped the game but hey captain coins are there and dlc is alrdy on the way. This is what everyone was waiting for huray.

The CC shop was just for adding repeatable content to the game to keep the online alive. They are working on patches and the first dlc. I am sure that the brothers will be fixed, but yes, it sucks they have been left like this. I would say to wait until the first DLC pack releases. They promised more offline content as well. The game is still great. But people will use busted combos on competitive play. It's how it is with every game. I don't play online so i had nothing but a fun time with the game.

But, due to the hassle it is to get a patch through Q&A for certification (usually takes weeks) it is unrealistic to expect it to already be fixed. This patch we got recently was already on the pipe. That's why i'm telling you that you are likely to only see changes with a major patch which comes later with the first batch of dlc. Don't take this as me disagreeing but rather setting the right expectations. Would be great if the process was faster.

Umm... what's this about Wakabayashi gaining a skill to refill his stamina? Because he doesn't have that. He unlocks Watchman of the Goal which increases his POW & DEF while in the penalty area, but that's it. The only character who can do that is Zino Hernandez. Customs can also get the skill from him to restore goalie stamina upon tackle, but otherwise, no one else can acquire that. The Tachibana issue seems more like a hack than a bug, because i've never seen it ALWAYS happen. There are some matches where the twins don't intercept every shot, and some matches where they do. Also, they did nerf Muller in the last update. He's nowhere near as tanky as he used to be. I can reliably score on him now.

So this confirms what I've seen from EU twitch streamers in regards to the online Captain Tsubasa experience. (You learn some fancy foreign four-letter-words real quick when some rando on the internet has made a third Tachibana, just to cheese the system even harder. Also, almost nobody in NA streams this game.) I'mma wait 'till it's on sale and get it when price point hits $40 USD; I was only going to engage with the single player content anyway, so I'm basically fine. I just feel so bad for the people who actually wanted to play this game online and get good, and be competitive, only to have the game tell them "no" with bad netcode and no bug fixes. And if pay to win microtransactions come to ranked that garbage will be the final nail in the coffin for anime soccer's online multiplayer.

‌You clearly missed the real point of CC Shop That shop has items for New Hero mode, only the better versions of the ones you get on the PP transfers. The character you make using those items are beyond broken I've made 3 characters with them and yesterday, I crushed rank 1st by 7-1, and I didn't use any cheese No V-zone charge, no Analyze, no Tachibana, no One Shot Certain Victory Scored on him with Dual slider, Neo Tiger and justice Blake The Tachibana brothers are easy to stop by the way. I've made a video about it you can check it on my channel(uploaded it 2 days ago). And the Skylab block can be avoided with Justice Blake and Dual slider shot and they're more than enough to score.

Yeah the online mode is just straight trash, everyone uses the same players, it’s laggy, and there is game breaking glitches. I play on the switch version and there would be game breaking glitches where the game wouldn’t even start during some sections and I could not do anything, nor my opponent, and then since I didn’t “move,” I get penalized, it counts as a rage quit, and I lose 5 sportsmanship points. This has repeatedly happened and now I’m below 60 sportsmanship points and since I’m below 60, I’m in a limited match making system where everyone is EVEN MORE LAGGY AND HAS LESS VARIETY. The game is overall not worth it, if you can get it for 20 dollars fine, but anything more? Save your money.

@Dewayne Smith He litteraly admits the online isn't bad and it's just due to some people using wifi rather than running a LAN cable. Which is the same for all online games. The only issue that was actually brought up was that new currency that may become paid. The title was clearly click bait. "Messed up BIG!!!" But in actuality it's a minute detail.

@@AizakkuAnalysis He also said that for one the goal keepers are TOO strong, which is true, infinite stamina regen and a goal keeper who is too difficult to get a shot in which stalls out the game because the goalkeeper can catch about 4-5 in a row shots and still be up. AND there is a bug with the twins, which also is ruining the game because everyone is running them since they can weaken any shot anywhere on the field and they can shoot together from anywhere. and a character has a guaranteed goal from one spot on the field no matter what. The game is in a bad state because of balancing, that was the point made.
