This is the story of Captain Ge Yang who was captured by the Kong Le faction during the Lao Civil War in 1961. He was initially imprisoned, later turned into a soldier for the captor, and finally became a double agent for the Vang Pao military and the Kong Le separatist.

Zoo li muaj tej yam hais yuam kev me ntsis. Souvannaphouma was never President of Laos. He was Prime Minister. At that time Laos had no President. The King was head of state. It was Souphanouvong that married to a Vietnamese, not Chao Phetsarath. Souphanouvong was imprisoned by the Lao right-wing leaders in Khai Phone Kheng in 1959 , not in Sam Khe. He and other Patheth Lao leaders escaped in May 1960 to the jungle and eventually to Sam Neua with the help of the prison guards (the Lao police officers), not Kong Le. Kong Le's coup d'etat happened later in August 1960.

Thanks for sharing pieces of history from each individuals who shared their personal experiences during that time. Hmong people as a whole race was used as a pawn in their Political Chess game including KongLe in the Country of Laos. I'm sure many had their good judgement clouded by Power Ranks and money during that era as well. They probably made some of the biggest mistakes in their life that they weren't so proud of today, but had to make during that time. Because during that Era, there was a huge window of opportunities for many to Become Something. So everybody competitively fought each other over it too. Only if this came out 12+ years earlier when some who works closely with high classified information with the high ranking officials were still alive. We would of gotten more detailed things documented as part of history for us to Not make the same mistake of falling for the "Dive and Conquer" strategy.

Captain Yang Ge mentioned Col Ketsana in the Neutralist Army under Kong Le who was assassinated. If I remember correctly Col Moua Sue married Col Ketsana’s wife. But in 1975 they got divorced. She then went to France. Col Moua sue married a Xiong in Ban Vinai and came to the US in the 80’s and divorced. He went back to live in Thailand and came back to the US several years ago. He passed away in St. Paul . His funeral was last weekend.
