Steve, I can’t believe what a great pilot up e become since you first started flying planes (in lieu of drones) in just a few short years. I’m amazed. I started on planes and switched to drones a while ago and it’s been much harder to master a different type of flying. But you learned quick! Good job. 11:55

Hi, you can try to calibrate the airplane to solve the problem of the head lolling during continuous aerobatic maneuvers at Gyro Mode or Manual Mode. Step: calibrate by pulling the left stick to the left bottom and the right stick to the bottom right, a 20-degree angle is recommended.

Yes, as per the manual, this was tried on the one I flew. Results were minimal.

Nice beginner RC airplane! I love it! Looks fairly simple and easy to start flying. The range is comical considering you wouldn't be able to see this little thing more than a 25 or 30 meters away! lol Unfortunately bad timing for me. Car registration came up so I don't have the $185.00 or I would buy this immediately! Such is life. It was fun watching you gentlemen fly and I'll have to be happy with that for now! Thanks for sharing!

Some how i managed to rack up three mid air collisions in 5 months... i think the static electricity on my FMS Maule is attracting the other foamies.. or it is me. Great video and the slow down proves who was at fault! (Ahem... Jedi!). Im gonna have to get a custom sticker that says "you got Mauled!" so i can hand them out every few months or so...

I'm waiting for DJI to make a crash proof version of this. Actually, I fly a lot of toy grade planes, mostly eachine warbirds, and think the Radiolink D460 looks good. Just wondering if crosswinds affect that design? Looks like it might be difficult to make precise tight turns.

Look how many times you guys didn't put the switch right, not good. Steve you did a great video and the plane flew cool, but having to have to switch from manual the stability, is a turn-off for me. Maybe they need to add wheels for take-off? I like how slow you could fly it.
@CAPTAINDRONE7985 ай бұрын
I believe it was designed to be launched in stability mode, but to do that you’d have to launch it at no angle (launch it level to the ground) and hope you get your hands on the joysticks before it hits the ground. If someone else launches it for you then it can easily be launched in stability mode.

Odd that you had so much trouble launching these in "Beginner mode' Steve? Plenty of other videos showing no trouble. One of the best 'Show and Tells" is by a Chinese guy apparently out of Hong Kong. (hobbyintelligenceagency) That's if you can negotiate the (not bad) auto-translation of his native Chinese. Possibly you just needed to re-calibrate the "Gyro Level Attitude" to suit - flat plan-form foamies generally require a good nose-up setting depending on how fast you intend to do most of your flying. If launched in "Mid/Gyro/Rate Mode" by just holding by the tail pointing up, these have plenty of power to weight to just torque-corkscrew skywards! Radiolink stuff is currently over-priced for what they are - essentially just flat foamy EPP Flite Test planes. But, like the former "Jap Crap!" of immediate post WW2 days, it is improving from "Chinese Junk!" quite rapidly. The whole package, though a fun little toy, may not be top-flite bang-for-buck yet, but the receiver and stabilizer in this ARE good value for cheapie builds. The receiver is supported by Multi Radios as well.
@CAPTAINDRONE7985 ай бұрын
I have flown several of the RADIOLINK planes which use the current GYRO and they do indeed behave the same if attempting to launch in stability mode. Those other folk probably simply launched in GYRO or MANUAL mode as we did. The only way we could get it to launch well in STABILITY Mode is if you just let it fly out of your hands level with the ground, but you have to get on them joysticks quick or else it will hit the ground.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 We have that Radiolink Byme-A v1/v2 stab in quite a few planes. LIDL Chuck Glider conversions, AtomRC Flying Fish twins, a smaller knock-off of a FMS Fun Cub and another couple of rip-the-guts-out-and-replace Mini Trainers. Provided they had a reasonable power to weight ratio and were set up correctly, simply holding the Tx (mode2) in your right hand with your thumb on the right stick, moving the throttle up to 3/4 or so power with your chin/mouth and tossing just a couple degrees above level with your left hand always seems to work for us. Not intending to shell out the overblown asking price for any of the Radiolink Flat Foamies to prove/disprove a point but just noting that others on the Toob don't seem to have the same trouble with launching them. But maybe they are just conning the punters?
