@@BrianKurtz-Red I typically spawn at either Dagger Tooth or Port Merrick end up selling at other outposts like sanctuary or gallies, I tend to log out then back in if I start spawn at ancient. I'm very picky cause I want a great resource spot to raid. I haven't seen anything on Merrick and Dagger Tooth with any indicators as I'm all over the island looten barrels, Gallies, I saw no changes to.

Having the waters just spawl with creatures could be cool. Making it actually dangerous to be in it. Sharks can only do so much but imagine blunderbussing an enemy into the sea right into an instadeath stingray. Very nice. Or even a summonable megalodon to help you in battle.

I think Hunter’s Call update will include beasts we fight at sea and on land. Like a giant crab on islands, and a sea serpent, whale, or whatever on the water. Maybe giant spirit versions of the animals that we see in the Ancient’s constellation puzzles down below the skeleton camps.

I always thought a good land creature would be a boar. They already have paintings and skulls of the boar in game. Thought it would be cool if you have to use the new traps to trap it to attack it. Maybe even also the lure or poison darts as well.

My hope is when the hunters call update drops, the hungering deep can just be a tall tale of us taking out the mother Meg. Since it was bigger, and had more health than a normal Meg. I’d rather have that be what’s going on here rather than this bs of “oh yeah you know that mask the ghost swallowed? Yeah they can move between worlds regardless” like wth? Also with this, I really hope we can just turn all the adventures involving Merick from adventures into a tall tale book of chapters.

My first ever megladon hunt was extremely memorable with multiple sloops working together to activate the quest to kill the beast shortly after they were brought into the game. I will be honest that was a peak SoT experience for me and has never been topped.

Another great video!! I really enjoy your "what if they added this" videos, like the solo ship idea. I have a small list that might spark your interest for more "add this please, Rare videos!" 1. Ship Clamps/boarding hooks: Used to lock same ships types together for prolonged cqb fights. If players grapple clamp or land boarding hooks, the ships are locked together until the clamp is destroyed or manually released, with it taking the same amount of time as lifting an anchor. 2. Fallen Sea Dog faction - Reskinned cosmetics from the Sea Dogs, Level up faction by doing hourglass or by doing PVP world events or by turning in Silver to the faction NPCs, which is earned passively by killing players, creatues, npc enemies, etc. Turning in silver is very very slow progression, but can still be done, whereas HG and PVP world Events is faster leveling but harder content. 3.PVP world events - World Events that coincide with PVE World Events. Example of one: Sea Dog symbol in the sky or pops up in voyage wheel if W.E. is active. Tells which island or fort to sail to and time it begins. Once players are at the island or fort, if 2 or more crews are there, it will start, otherwise it will server merge single crews to worlds with other crews waiting on the PVP designated island. TDM ensues, with either FFA, TDM, or King of the Hill happening. KotH would only give pts to crews that occupy space with no other crews present. Galleon crews get 1 pt per tick, while solo sloop gets 4 pts per tick, etc. 4. Purchasable food for inventory from the Ferry of the Damned. No more getting camped and not having the ability to run down and grab food when you're out. Now you can come back to your ships with pockets full of mangos.

So the theory is that the rock paintings were made without intent, and they're just now getting around to thinking up storylines and decided to cobble them together from meaningless paintings? If you were making a game wouldn't you want to make the stories you're excited to tell instead of mad libbing them together from something else? Honest question to the community. Is this game broken? I havent been back in a while but was considering it. But with the Safer Seas now providing the same Rep and Gold. I dont see why people would care to risk high seas. So why would High Seas have any value to either look for targets to hunt or do quests with that ever watchful SOT approach you needed. I feel like it would dampen the experience for both sides. What's your thoughts if you play? Anyone with real loot still on High Seas? Any reason to play HS if I wanna grind Gold Hoarders or something?
