It's Satan. Not the fabric "satin". Other names include, The Devil, beelzebub, serpent, roaring lion, father of the lie (because he told the first lie to Adam and Eve) and beast. Satan was a beautiful angel and God threw him and all the other angels that turned bad (now demons) out of heaven to the earth. That is why everything sucks and people die right now. Because he tricked Eve and Adam into disobeying God and for that they gave up perfection. Now God is letting satan rule for a while, to show how crappy things are when someone else wants to rule and show that some people, even under great adversity, will still love God. After that, God will take over again and make the earth a paradise as was its original purpose and humans (the ones who stayed faithful to God) will live forever, never getting sick or dying. Also, faithful ones who died, will be resurrected. Anyway, that is the story.
