I am no minecraft veteran, joined in 1.14, but this song still brings back memeories, in the times where I didn't watch youtube, in the times where I always dug a hole at night because of the mobs (even in creative mode lol), and in the times where I discovered a village and made extra houses for them. To be honest, the game was funner in the times where I barely knew anything, because there was always something new for me to explore. I feel a rush of feelings when listening to this.

This song and the original by Coldplay were both two of my favorite songs when I was a child. Not only was I obsessed with Minecraft (still am, really), there's just something about the melody of the songs, and each version's respective vocals are wonderful in their own ways. Yes, Viva la Vida and Fallen Kingdom were special parts of one's childhood back then. It's been said before, and it'll be repeated for years, probably.

It all started to me back in 2012, with the 1.4.7 version. I updated to 1.5.2 and left it as it is for years. From 2013 to 2017, 1.5.2 was the only version I played. I liked the simplicity of it all. No horses, you had to mine to find coal other than just burn some trees. Nowadays I looked at the game, how much it grew, things I thought only was possible with mods now are actual things in the game. I used to listen a lot to this song. I actually made a village, added walls, a castle, ways of defense for the numerous mobs. All because this song inspired me to build a "mini empire", with farmlands for food, lots of golems and towers for defense. One day, after lots of years, the save file corrupted. I still had some backup of the world, but it just isn't the same anymore. I still think like me reign died together with that save, that I left everyone there without a leader, a protector. Nowadays I don't have that much time to play, but that small empire I made all by myself will never be forgotten. Still had to play the most recent versions of the game, but I guess the time for this old veteran is over.
