The dragon is almost nigh impossible to beat currently, even with the amazing gear like the artemis. You'll either die by her nuke attacks, run out of ammo and have her get her hp back while you get some, or lag out due to the spam fire, explosion, , lightning, phantoms and blazes.

The jetpack should definetly only be used for exploring, having the 40 renewable HP from the chestplate is what keeps you alive most of the time. Also, definetly a good pick to put Unbreaking on it even if it has Mending, just so that you can fly further before having to recharge the durability.

I'm all for punishing mechanics, especially in difficult modpacks like this one, but I agree that it's annoying to have to AFK until world difficulty hits 50+ just to go back into the shadow dimension, and especially frustrating when it lowers for each death If there was an obvious way to raise difficulty and some way to prevent it from being lowered by death, or alternatively a way to be in the shadow dimension without needing difficulty 50+, then it would be fine

well before the update u could go into the store part and use something to increase and decrease the difficulty but they removed it after the update

Just my opinion, but I feel that with all the other things in this pack that stack against you (any pack with lucky blocks can be a nightmare, but this adds to that even more), which it seems like a great pack and I am actually going play it, I just can’t get behind that dying in the shadow, knocked down below 50 and stuck without your stuff at the mercy of having to AFK until back to level 50. I fully support Lauren helping when that happens. I can’t image many of us here wouldn’t be cool with that. I’d bet a lot a poll would show that result for that situation specifically. As always, for all the many years, thanks for the amazing content, Cap!

51:52 SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN"T WATCHED I just spent like 15 minutes doing the math. According to the wiki, armor durability reduces by 1 for every 4 damage dealt before armor reduction; that phantom did 15 to Jardon's armor... That means the phantom did AT LEAST 60 damage. A full unenchanted netherite player will die in one hit from just less than 40 damage, so no wonder why he didn't stand a chance lol

You also have to factor the unpredictability of Unbreaking.

@@karazsteel Before Jardon died, I saw in the bottom left corner that his armor was full durability. His chestplate absorbed the first round of damage (even though the chestplate only absorbs 40, I guess it doesn't apply the remainder?), but his durability didn't decrease. As far as I can tell he died with full durability. When he re-equipped his gear, the chestplate, leggings, and boots were all down by 15. I guess unbreaking doesn't apply if the damage is fatal, or he just got really unlucky

Did some maths too, in the mario world without his helmet, with his current armor (chestplate full), he can take ~46 damage (23 hearts) which leaves him at half a heart So yea, damage by phantom is >46 & probably in the 60s as you said...

@@Secretlycat31 Power Points are used in crafting the modded items at the multiblock shrine, but you can only have 5 at a time. Every time Jordan uses one, he's wasting the Power Points since he's almost certainly at 5 by now, meaning those are potential crafts going to waste. There's a shrine lamp he can make as a sort of obelisk/tank for it like other mods have for XP, but as of this episode he hasn't made one.

I pause the video, tab over to MC to see if you can add mending to it (you can), I open the black spinny block next to me.. I get the same jetpack! All within 45 seconds of seeing him get it.. If you slowmo you can see it sneak up from behind the waystone as he slayed the last two before he got Thanosed. He never highlighted it, though, so who knows what crazy buff it had.

I think you got REALLY unlucky with the dragon, as the champion/infernal rolls are Shielding, which blocks damage(kinda like hitting a player with their shield procced), explaining why some of your sword & gun hits don't deal damage I'm not 100% sure about lively, but it might be passive regeneration... This is gonna be a really tough dragon fight that's for sure! (Also, poor Chen still in purgatory... waiting for her beloved master to bring her back from the dead...)

So I've made this comment every episode to date, if you want to avoid getting blown up from the lucky block in the chance that they explode you only have to have a block at your feet between you and the explosion it's a vanilla mechanic and it still works great....

Not mad about the enchanted book trades. Combining a couple books to get Protection 4 is hardly the worst thing in the world to do, especially with as many re-rolls as you had to have done, and live no less. (AFK re-rolls is about the only other way you'd reasonably get a min-cost Prot 4, and that's _if_ it happens, so all is more than forgiven.)

I think you've completely misunderstood how your invis scarf works. When that ring appears, that's when mobs CAN see you.. Until you break that circle. But I any mob aggro'd on you in that time, will remain even after you break the circle.

Spoilers & nerdge :P In the last encounter in the shadow realm, when he was wearing the jetpack, to go from 10 hearts to 1 heart in a single hit(18 HP), he took ~60 DAMAGE! That's a lotta damage... What is this? Vault hunters damage numbers or something? 😂
