I believe the mycelium is contributing to some "random" mob spawns. One of my worst experiences when I first started was cob webs were spawning banshees and I didn't know it. 100 deaths later i cleared them out and lived banshee free in "my area". Added: Village life seems to be much better! I would consider clearing out everything around that 2nd waystone and just completely rebuilding around it for home. If a reasonable supply of Redstone can be acquired, I would consider making a "Summoning Pedestal" or two for future base plus any additional for adventuring. You can place them down and summon the npc of your choice, mine is typically aegis to help have a constant supply of support for battling. You can also set up two if preferred one doing aegis and the other jengu and making an unlimited supply of nymphs.

Ah yeah, also a good way to have your whole village killed. Always clear away the cobwebs. Then clear away any Minecart Rails for good measure because those near any cobwebs are spawning conditions for Banshees

When you think about it, the spawn area gives them a little slice of every threat in every direction they go - so it's less than ideal. It's also pretty boring to start a series and just camp at spawn in a hole the whole time lmao. Above ground structures are not that much less safe, if anything the underground base is bringing them closer to cave mobs.

@@uponeric36 well gotta remember Epic siege mod is apart of Dregora. That’s where the interesting AI - like pickaxe zombies mine through walls and creepers can x-ray and blow up any walls to help other mobs get to you - comes from. Plus events always get a bit crazy. Tbh. Skybase with Obsidian cage seems safest.

@@salmon3669minecraft Yes, but mining zombies got (temp) disabled and xray creepers got their xray radius reduced. Having played for several hours, events are the biggest threat block destruction wise - and tbh I would just run away from my main base if you have anything but an obsidian skybase lol.

Joardon a little bit of tip once you go explore and find some structures later!!! A lot of modern looking structures (electric poles, metal windmills, radio towers, etc) will either have some iron, redstone, lapis blocks most of the time! Make sure to look closely on the materials they are built on as they can be a good point of interest for gathering resources aside from looting on chests Another thing is to try and craft some rings of speed as they are one of the more feasible rings to craft early game once you get a fair amount of resources which I mentioned above, and they dont need a level requirement to equip! And DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES interact with a librarian villager named "SUSSYBERIAN" if you wish to value your life and inventory!!

I cannot tell if that last one is for real or not. But thinking back to Shivaxis' warning about the mob with "69420 health" I'm leaning towards it actually being in the game.

@@PurtyPurple The Sussyberian is for real since I have encountered it several times in my current playthrough. First time I tried interacting it, they explode and I died instantly XD As for the entity with 69420 hp, I still have yet to encounter it. It might just be any mob that gets a special tag to have such hp

@@silvertomahawk67It’s either the Mimic or Mimicrab. New patch fixed the 69420 health they had but you should still avoid if possible. They will definitely kill you and all your armor will be destroyed even when you get back to where you died.

Lets all take a moment to remember that they chose to live here. If anything they are going to learn to HATE water mobs real quick when the Iorays start taking over the village. Jangu no problem, stun fish.. bit of a bother, fishman... weight need i say more, and Iorays penetration shreds through your health. So lets see them make the most of this, while they have the control... for now.

On top of all that water mobs in rlcraft are just horrifying creatures, basically if cruelty squad spawned mobs into minecraft.

Bounty boards are actually a pretty big part of the pack, i highly recommend making a wall of them, or visiting many of them in villages, and doing any quests you can, they pay out loads of good stuff

Geonachs take more damage from pickaxes, and ents take more damage from axes. Both are really hard to kill with actual weapons.

Enemies that regenerate, like the trolls, have to be defeated with enchanted weapons, or splash potion assists. One of the I&F mobs (that mod's version of a Hydra) for example can only be beaten if you have Fire Aspect on your weapon. In lore terms; you cauterize as you slice, so you mow them down gradually. Because that troll was covered in that purple flame, though, I'm not sure which extra damaging enchantment would counter its heal factor, or if the FA would be adequate. Maybe a froststeel, or silver weapon? I think I remember there being ways to also pull health from your enemies with a vampiric enchantment, or weapon effect, too, but the "RLCraft way" might disagree with that being a thing.

The cave troll more than likely was taking damage from what I remember infernal mobs or blight mobs spawn with more health than their base health pool so it doesn’t register on the percentage till you bring them down to their base health pool

No RlCraft craft has lore accurate monsters and mythology accurate monsters. Cave trolls and Mountain trolls have incredibly High health regen but are instakill to sunlight

A few little tips lycanite mobs can spawn from mushrooms not sure about modded mushrooms, Geonach or Argus are good summons to use, and Geonachs are resistent to weapons but are weak to pickaxes making them pretty tanky. One bonus tip if that cave troll is annoying you daylight will instantly unalive the cave troll.

Akistosh carts can be crafted and then attached to a horse, they allow you to have a storage and seating so you guys can get around quicker.

Collecting flowers and placing them in one spot to increase the spawn chance of Healing Nymphs. Geonarchs can be damaged more by killing it with a pickaxe. Using a saber for closed range cases can be quite useful with its damaged boost, as you can use a shield with it once reaching a high enough defense level. You can use a tower shield too. *Hope this helps!* 🙂

Many assummed troll had high armor or regen and were suggesting using a bucket of lava for whatever reason. Or using a Warhammer for partial armor piercing. Not sure if that is actually the case with the high armor though. I do know the trolls are immune to projectiles

mushrooms spawn undead entities like Eechetiks spawn from Mushrooms. There must be at least 4 mushrooms within a 32 cubic block radius for Eechetiks to spawn. In addition, there must be no more than 5 Eechetiks in that same radius. Eechetiks can spawn anywhere mushrooms are located, including the Nether (albeit rarely).

There are bookshelves that can be looted in the village. They look different than normal bookshelves. They act like chests and you walked by like 3 or them. They are in the smaller libraries.

Tip: In the Librarian houses/structures, i.e. like the one you found the barrel in, in the villages, you can "open" the bookcases that look like they have books missing and they have inventories that often hold enchants.

Jardoon may I recommend that for the next mod pack you Pete and x33n play prominence amongst its mods there's one I'm fairly certain you've never played before it essentially adds in everything from the base version of a game called dead cells from what I've seen idk if it adds dlc content from the game also but from my experience with prominence its rlcraft but slightly more friendly

You should make a soulgazer to acquire knowledge of mobs. To tame a Roc you need to have knowledge of it too. Try to get level 8 in everything and start reforging and making lycanites custom weapons like the good old paxel.

Honestly I wish they would just turn on keep inventory. It's not like it trivializes death; you still have to wade through the masses of deadly monsters to get back to where you were, but as long as you don't abuse it to regain health and hunger or teleport back home it just makes the whole thing less tedious.

The cobble -> lava event is actually a lycanite mob ( volkan)

It is, but iirc volkans only spawn in the overworld during the eruption event (as they're normally just nether mobs), so the event is still what allows that to happen.

If the lore about trolls are true, range is the only way at the moment, magic is the worst because trolls themselves are magic based and I reckon you'll first need decently high melee to even lay a finger on them.

Why is the playlist in the order 3->2->1->4? If one sets the sort option of the playlist to "Date published (oldest)", videos (as long as their are upload in order) will end up in the correct spot in the playlist. Pretty sure that option stays until changed as well. So I assume this has been done manually and I'm wondering why? Is there a reason to put them in reverse order/partial reverse order?

Glaive is not really the way imo. Better off using spear (for reach and attack speed) or sabre for close combat. Both one handed which means you can use shields

Sabre or the Spartan Weaponry spear is not a bad choice early game. Especially if combined with a shield. Glaive has mediocre single target DPS with Reach trait and Sweep II targeted for Crowd Contro. Basically same category as Greatsword, except Greatsword has Sweep III but nets lower single target DPS. Pike, Halberd, or Spartan Weaponry spear might be more useful for them atm if they are sticking with the polearms for reach.. Battleaxe becomes really good too if they can find the Desolator Enchant. And has fairly good DPS otherwise. Even if the actual attack speed is a bit meh.

@@salmon3669minecraft The long swords seem underrated to me, the damage and attack speed are relatively high and they have sweep. Tbh I don't see reach weapons as a very useful main carry, anything fast just will get up to you, especially because all the reach weapons tend to be slower.

Dude i started playing yesterday and i cant get out of the fucking desert wasteland. I finally went a direction that took me to a new biome but do you think i could find a waystone or bed at any point? Eventually i found 2 dragons that wanted to help with my no bed issue, and they promptly sent me to sleep. 10/10 would rage again.
