No Man's Sky V5.0 Worlds Part 1 Update Live Look on PS5

No Man's Sky is an action-adventure survival game played from a first or third person perspective that allows players to engage in five principal activities: exploration, survival, combat, trading and base building. The player takes the role of a specimen of alien humanoid planetary explorer, known in-game as the Traveller, in an uncharted universe. They start on a randomized planet near a crashed spacecraft towards the edge of the galaxy and are equipped with a survival exosuit with a jetpack, and a "multitool" that can be used to scan, mine and collect resources as well as to attack or defend oneself from creatures and hostile forces. The player can collect, repair, and refuel the craft, allowing them to travel about the planet, between other planets and space stations in the local planetary system, engage in space combat with alien factions, or make hyperspace jumps to other star systems. While the game is open-ended, the player may follow the guidance of the entity known as The Atlas to head toward the centre of the galaxy.

After watching your video and firing up my PC Stream started downloading the Update right away - yeah! And what shall I say? I'm blown away! Hello Games essentially fixed all issues I had with weather and under water rendering! And what's even better: They improved the engine performance immensely so for the first time ever I can play NMS VR with ultra settings instead of high! Man, I had such a blast yesterday evening playing NMS in VR!

Looking at the stuff now. Got the aqua jets installed and testes water landings. The water effects do look better. Game has frozen twice on me. Haven't found any new biomes as yet because of the game freezing. I think you were right when saying these kind of updates don't hold people's attention for long. Hopefully the expedition won't be too far away. They are what bring me back to the game. I wonder if terrain still swallow bases or not.

In the sean Murray commentary trailer, he says he wants to " refresh the UNIVERSE ". Could this mean thst not only are the planets getting an upgrade, but space and other mechanics as well ? I'm calling it now, part 2 will be upgraded space mechanics, deeper space travel and organic space enemies. As it is below, so shall it be above ? My wishlist is upgrade of the settlements ( turn settlements into " cities " ( not mega cities ) Alien race homeworlds, solar system/station ownership. On ground battles with alien race npc's. Deeper space exploration, and the planets revolving around the sun. Lastly, the ability to hire/purchase more npc's to inhabit your base do it will feel alive.

I'd like to see guided missiles in space combat so it's not all gun runs, I think the enemy AI would actually handle that a lot better since it tends to circle and then charge at you.

I'm playing the update on an Arc A770 that just arrived today. It's surprisingly smooth. Did have to shut off V-sync, but apparently Arc support has improved for NMS. Other interesting note: It seems to be slightly easier to pick the gassy pod from the center of a flytrap plant. Prompt doesn't appear unless you're pretty close, and it is a bit squiffy still if you're on a slope, but overall it's working much better than before. I don't have to jiggle the mouse around to get the prompt to appear. I picked three in a row without getting snapped once, so it feels much smoother than before. Update looks really nice so far.

@CaptainSteveVPT awesome. I have been playing Starfield for months and I like it. But I spend most my time exploring as the missions are the same repetitive missions that I have been playing since the 90s.

Completely different from Stanfield, and better in the sense that it's centered around survival, resource and tech gathering, and you can fly around the planets, and take off and land pretty much any where without the stupid cut scenes.
