There is an adative in gorrilla brand super glue that allows it to flex and increases the shear strength far eyond that of regular super glue effectively rubberizing it. If you dont mind waiting a silicone based adhesives would be better as it also flexes and will add aditional cushioning. Goop brand is my favorite. They label it with different applications in mind ie shoe, automotive, marine etc but im pretty sure its all the same except for maybe sun screens in the marine and automotive kind.

This happened during January and I decided to buy an actual replacement

Great modding video Captain. Your blaster videos are funny and very informative to watch and so keep up the great work! By the way I saw this post at Nerfhaven that suggests using Silicone Sealant would be better for padding the plunger head nerfhaven.com/forums/topic/22201-simple-and-durable-plunger-head-padding/ The Silicone Sealant would be more durable than craft foam because over time the constant impact between the plunger head and the end of the tube will cause the foam to collapse and be crushed When the Silicone Sealant is cured it will have the viscosity of very soft rubber and will absorb shock quite well I used Loctite waterproof silicone sealant to pad my Buzz Bee blaster plunger head and it seems to work just great

Might suggest a link to Bobololo's channel and his batteries tips video. He didn't have physical example like you have been using, but he did a great job of matching pictures with what he was talking about and he had some very helpful advice for using and keeping the batteries safe. Just wanted to leave a reminder that that topic has already been covered by someone else and I thought that you might want to take the easy route, making mor3e time to work on the commission backlog the you keep saying you have to work through.

is the padding meant to sit in top of the lip of the plunger head, or inside it? does the padding effect air compression at all, or is it simply to absorb impact from an increased spring load?

Inside the lip so it does not cause friction with the sides of the plunger tube. It does fill some dead space but a negligible amount so it is mostly just to cushion the impact.

Absolutely! Pad the grip, the stock, the sights. I also would pad the carry handle, the bottom of the magazine, and front of the battery housing. For internals, I would pad around the barrel, under the flywheel cage, and behind the Rev and Trigger switches. The only thing you don't need to pad is the plunger head because the rapidstrike is a Flywheel blaster and does not have a plunger head...

Im going to remove the air restrictor of my magnus then i will add the plunder padding what will happen if i dryfire the magnus? Also how does it effect the performance?
@CaptainXavier3 жыл бұрын
The first couple of times? Probably nothing. Eventually it will break. As for performance, removing the AR will likely do very little if you do not also replace the breach. The AR is not there to limit performance but to reduce damage. Removing only helps if you have a system that can actually utilize the full air volume. A stock breach cannot.
