Try using a drill bit smaller than the screw to get it out, and drill right into the screw. However make sure you have a strong drill bit

I'm pretty sure there are special drill bits that are threaded opposite to the screw. Once it bites in deep enough it'll extract the screw for you.

A mod tip that I would like to see is how to properly and effectively apply epoxy putty, examples of what blasters it's good in to potentially extend the life of it and what good alternatives there are to epoxy. Hope you consider it :)

There is an adative in gorrilla brand super glue that allows it to flex and increases the shear strength far eyond that of regular super glue effectively rubberizing it. If you dont mind waiting a silicone based adhesives would be better as it also flexes and will add aditional cushioning. Goop brand is my favorite. They label it with different applications in mind ie shoe, automotive, marine etc but im pretty sure its all the same except for maybe sun screens in the marine and automotive kind.

I wished I padded my Recon's reverse plunger, or even the dart sled, cause the last time I fired my recon, I took off the stock mount, fired it, and the back of the reverse plunger split in half and one part flew into my cheek and landed into a potted plant. This happened during January and I decided to buy an actual replacement

Great modding video Captain. Your blaster videos are funny and very informative to watch and so keep up the great work! By the way I saw this post at Nerfhaven that suggests using Silicone Sealant would be better for padding the plunger head nerfhaven.com/forums/topic/22201-simple-and-durable-plunger-head-padding/ The Silicone Sealant would be more durable than craft foam because over time the constant impact between the plunger head and the end of the tube will cause the foam to collapse and be crushed When the Silicone Sealant is cured it will have the viscosity of very soft rubber and will absorb shock quite well I used Loctite waterproof silicone sealant to pad my Buzz Bee blaster plunger head and it seems to work just great

Might suggest a link to Bobololo's channel and his batteries tips video. He didn't have physical example like you have been using, but he did a great job of matching pictures with what he was talking about and he had some very helpful advice for using and keeping the batteries safe. Just wanted to leave a reminder that that topic has already been covered by someone else and I thought that you might want to take the easy route, making mor3e time to work on the commission backlog the you keep saying you have to work through.

I used the 1/4 foam to pad my plunger in my alpha trooper and now I don't think the prime goes back far enough to let the clip in. Sadly I had to super glue the tube back together becuase it was solvent welded. Do you think the foam will compress over the next few days enough to get the clip in?

On the EAT, my plunger cannot be removed due to a cap on the rear side of the plunger tube. Is there a trick to removing this? I don't want to grind up the thing if it is unnecessary. I had to remove the A/R and I'm running an 8 kg spring, so... it needs padding.

is the padding meant to sit in top of the lip of the plunger head, or inside it? does the padding effect air compression at all, or is it simply to absorb impact from an increased spring load?
@CaptainXavier
@CaptainXavier 6 жыл бұрын
Inside the lip so it does not cause friction with the sides of the plunger tube. It does fill some dead space but a negligible amount so it is mostly just to cushion the impact.

Absolutely! Pad the grip, the stock, the sights. I also would pad the carry handle, the bottom of the magazine, and front of the battery housing. The only thing you don't need to pad is the plunger head because the rapidstrike is a Flywheel blaster and does not have a plunger head...

@CaptainXavier
@CaptainXavier 3 жыл бұрын
The first couple of times? Probably nothing. Eventually it will break. As for performance, removing the AR will likely do very little if you do not also replace the breach. The AR is not there to limit performance but to reduce damage. Removing only helps if you have a system that can actually utilize the full air volume. A stock breach cannot.
