A kindred spirit! I grew up in south central Nebraska! Went to UofN in Lincoln to college. As a child, going to Lincoln to shop was a huge deal! I loved hearing that was true for you too. Our small town was big enough and I cherish my uncomplicated childhood. I have lived in Northern California since 1967! I enjoy your channel for accessible projects and have tried many of them. I’m not a youngster anymore but still enjoy your ideas! Thank for all you do. 🥰

Betty, thanks for this sweet note! So nice to hear from another Nebraska girl. My mom was born in south central Nebraska (Edgar, in Clay County) - actually 107 years ago today! So I've been thinking a lot about her in that remote rural area so many years ago. We had lots of relatives in Nelson that we would visit from time to time. And yes, going to Lincoln was always exciting. We went to Omaha a fair amount, but going to Lincoln meant - Miller & Paine department store! The ultimate in 1960s retail luxury!

Windows on the book pages would look great. Just with your black pen in long rectangle. Love this idea. I do houses from scrap but really like the simplicity of the city scape. I'm going home today to play :) I have lots of books to cut up so will have plenty of pieces

So cute you have such fun ideas. I made a collage city scape when i took a course with her. I spend hours looking thru magazines for designs that resemled buildings with windows.
