"I want to see her fight" It's pretty heavily implied that she's one of the geniuses who unconsciously developed a Nen ability. She has no fighting ability, she has the proportional strength of an average teenage girl (hell considering her lifestyle, probably not even that much xD) and no Nen beside her prophetic ability. At least that's always been my interpretation of it. That's part of why Kurapika in the episodes we meet her says something like "She's not using her father, her father is using her as a tool". Neon is just a random spoiled child that happens to have one incredibly specific talent. Nen requires dedication and training, if Neon had Nen, Kurapika wouldn't assume she's just a tool used by her dad because that would prove in itself that she's mentally strong at least to a point.

Well she does have nen, it’s just that as you mentioned she most likely didn’t develop it through training but coincidence and being a miracle child. I could be wrong but I think when Wing was explaining the basics of nen he said everyone technically had it but not everyone could access it (don’t remember the exact words and since there are so many words describing different usages of nen I often jumble words together).

More specifically, she uses Nen unconsiously. Literally when she uses her Lovely Ghost Writer, she cannot see it and is under the impression she just blanks out. She doesn't even know Nen exists. Wing explained that some people use Nen unconsiously, and people call them geniuses or savants, because they assume it's their innate skills.

For example the knife they found on the market few episode earlier that had nen in it - it was made by a serial killer who did not use nen, yet he poured aura into knifes he made without even knowing nen is a thing, he just poured his emotions into them based on each of his killings.

There is no two specific members that are always with the boss. The boss always keeps at least two members with him when the troupe gathers together, but they aren’t always the same two ppl. It’s not like a strength thing where he keeps the strongest members with him.

Being capable of using Nen doesn’t mean they can fight. When Wing introduced Nen, you could see several sportsmen and professional workers in the background, which indicates that they are using aura in a field they’re really good or passionate at.

3:00 killua is actually extremely consistent at giving up as soon as he decides an opponent is beyond him, its gon that keeps trying to beat them regardless. its actually a pretty important part of killua's character that hes the opposite, his brother has taught him relentlessly to never try and fight anyone stronger than himself as a way to keep him easy to control, even when he was playing the game with the ball against netero he gave up as soon as he noticed netero hadn't used his other foot or hand and was just toying with them. so yeah alicia you're just expanding gons personality and putting it on killua as well.

Killua has always been vary of people outclassing him, thats exactly what Illumi and Silva taught him, Illumi said it himself during the hunter exam arc that "We raised you not to fight anyone stronger than you." So this isnt necessarily something to praise him over as it still shows hes under their influence

Killua has never tried to challenge someone he knew he couldn’t beat. With the exception of Zushi every opponent he was cocky about he knew for a fact he could beat them

I love the implication that this episode give. Killua told us that his father know that the troupe is bad news, that they're strong. Then, the same troupe recognize that Killua and Gon are skilled with Zetsu and Phinks is impressed by the strenght of Killua for escaping is grip. This shows that even if Killua and Gon are not yet at the level of the members of the troupe and Kurapika, they are already quite competent as nen users even though they only learned it very recently. This allows us as a spectator to assess the forces present rather easily and see possible progress.

Killua escaping Phinks' grip is always impressive. Phinks is the second strongest memeber at arm wrestling after Uvo (I guess now he's the strongest since Uvo is dead), so to get out of his grip, even using torsion to compensate for weaker strength (and leg strength being stronger than arm strength) that means Killua's reinforced strength ranks very high even within the troupe. He literally escaped their strongest member's grip. It's really Nen-wise and fight experience-wise that the boys are so much behind the troupe but Killua's physical power is unreal even by troupe's standard. I wouldn't be surprised if Killua is physically stronger than Chrollo already.

@@Arkayjiya It's impressive to escape Phinks' grip, but I don't think it can be said he was trying his best to hold onto Killua here. The strength Gon displayed at the hunter exam prior to having trained at the testing gate was enough to break Illumi's arm, and Illumi is stronger than Killua. If Phinks was using his full strength to grasp Killua's legs he would likely break/fracture his bones

It's a nice detail (maybe not intentional) that killua tells them using zetsu would only alert the troupe because he learned that from that guy in the arena. It gives you a tangible proof that they're gaining experience.

Neon, the girl with lovely ghost writter ability, is a genius. So she doesn't actually know she's using nen, so she can't fight and her physcal abilities are likely below average due to being sheltered and spoiled. Also kurapika is a conjurer, he's only a specialist when his emotions are high and his eyes are red. When they aren't he's just an a conjurer
