Great to see another video Radu, and loving' the 'bloopers' outtakes at the end... a very endearing touch indeed :) Despite starting my photographic 'journey' (oh Jeez'!) on an old Olympus and the venerable 50mm f1.8 Zuiko that came as the standard kit offering that made an Olympus believer out of me, it still remains a major a brand of lenses that I have not yet explored as vintage tools ... but sometimes you need to go away just to come home again :) So inspired by your enthusiasm It's on my lists now along with something a bit bonkers from their stable like the 55mm f1.2 as a walk around buddy for the 28mm, I personally find this combination to cover most things I might want to do mooching around. Keep it up and congratulations on the new abode😍looks like refined dwelling fit for creativity and your impending parenthood!

Thanks for you kind words. Really, such a nice message, it makes feel all warm and fuzzy inside. As for the Zuikos... yeah, I've turned into a bit of a fanboy and subsequently went on a bit of a shopping spree these last few months, mostly window shppping, but I did end up buying a few. I've decided it's my favourite brand of vintage lenses and I started building a set. I currently own the 28 reviewed here, a 1.4/50, a 3.5/50 Macro and a 2.8/135, all soon to be featured on the channel. Next up I'd like to get the 2/28, the 2/50 macro, maybe the 4.5/300 for some birding and wildlife... We'll see. While I can't speak for the 1.2/55 you want to get, as it's quite a bit out of my budget, I can (and will soon) say a lot about the 1.4/50, the latter, black-nose version - it's my favourite 50mm ever. Simply outstanding!

@@1kwords that’s high praise for the 50 1.4 as I know you’ve ‘been around the block’ haha! I shall check it out tho I’m biased towards the slightly longer 50s from 55 thru 58… actually one of my all time favs is Minolta’s very modest 58 f1.4 which is technically more like a 61mm in reality, and despite not being super duper sharp, it has a maverick magic that I simply adore 🥰 But I shall certainly check out the 50 now too on your say-so 🙏👍

I have a copy of the Zuiko 28mm f2.0 that I intend to haphazardly compare to the Topcor 28mm f2.8. Welcome back and thanks for the vid - I enjoyed the images you captured because for some reason, they really do resonate with the focal length.

I myself have been watching your channel for years. Which brings me to a question I've been meaning to ask. Is this your second channel? Did you delete lots of stuff? You used to have much more content. I remember a lot of videos I used to enjoy, but they seem to have vanished from your channel, along with a lot of your subscribers. What happened?

No beer, this time, sadly enough. I'm recovering after a really bad pulled muscle in my back, I spent most of last week in pain, so I'm still on some medication. Once that's done with, in a couple of days, I'll be having beer. Two at the same time! I also like the OM 2.8/28 quite a lot!
