Beautiful down to earth show..l love laugh track its sounds real..all actors have faces of character. This episode brings out human kind thoughtfulness..you can see feel SOL'S pain relief and happiness once he slips on his new STYMIES!! Look on the face of Sol and wife dancing is real beautiful and true...everything about 60 episodes of Car 54 is Memorable..Thank you very much.for posting! Peace be too all.

Actually, it was real. Once they filmed it, they showed it to an audience and recorded their laughter.

Was also aired here in Belgium in the sixties and a very big hit. Very fond memories from my childhood, it still makes me laugh. Is it nostalgia, but they made some epic TV series in the sixties and seventies, with great intro's. We had far fewer channels, but much better TV.

Tremont Ave back in the day. My mother used 2 take us there in the early 70s. I'm a 1966 baby. I remember on the corner of Crotona Ave & E Tremont Ave, The Bronx, NY 10457 an Italian pizza shop now a Chase Bank. The best pizza ever unlike the crap they make today or what they sell at Walmart.

Used to watch this show over and over. The early 60's was an interesting almost innocent time. The Beatles were right around the corner. Then things got really interesting for a kid my age.

She pulled out all the stops on 'car 54' and played a hilarious character as 'Sylvia Schnauser',the very melodramatic wife of ' She was already an accomplished stage actress before this tv show, and she made the best of her tv opportunity on 'Car 54'! Much more interesting than the bland 'Edna Garrett of later years!

I wasn't a big fan of this show back when it first came out. I was 12. But now, I really appreciate it and see how sophisticated and intelligent it was, bringing in liberal politics and societal fears, things that other early 60s shows never touched. They even had a black cop! And a strong feminist!

NOT a "strong feminist". Just a woman who didn't need to to emasculate men. Also today's shows rewrite America as a country as a country that never HAD shows or a functioning society where people got along. It is ALL about revisionist history & division & ginned up racism.

What a great old shoe. I've been watching a run of Serial Killer movies. What naïve and pleasant change of pace. Just a note. When they are plastering Sol's feet, do any of you notice anything strange about "Sol's" Great Toes? ie his Big Toes?

This rare TV Sitcom which ran on NBC-TV From 1961-1963 ,with 60 episodes was filmed with both exterior and interior scenes in the NYC borough of the Bronx. Do you agree this would make Bronx native JLO aka Jennifer Lopez Proud, true or false? I await your answer and reply.
