The rule in regards to driveways is that you can use the road to enter your drive. The road does not belong to you. If you are not parked in your drive everyone is entitled to park on the road unless their special markings. People cannot claim roads because they've been granted permission to drop their curve to have access unto their property

Four or more you can move car, you rock the car from side to side and push in the desired direction in same movement, we did this as kids to annoy painful neighbours, moved the car forward or back. Ford cortina was the car we moved, so your one there would be lighter.

I'd buy half a dozen cheap wheel clamps come out clamp them put a notice on windscreen then when they return deny all knowledge of clamping them and let them be inconvenienced whilst they try and remove the damn thing .Even if they destroy the clamp it would take time and would be worth it .

Google parking over a dropped kerb! It IS a fixed penalty notice offence. I Derby we have a council team set up to enforce this 24 hours a day seven days a week! A simple phone call and they will drive a camera car past and they will get a penalty fine through the post. However, looking at the lines for parking it suggests they can park. Needs sorting out with your local council. Good luck. I had a similar problem with renters parking over the dropped kerb opposite my property preventing me from using my drive. A few fines later all is well now! They are entitled couple I refer to as dumb and dumber, they thought they were entitled to carry on. Now they have paid in fines for information I gave them for free!

I can't figure out how people can see a driveway especially with a car parked in it and not reason out in their minds that the people who live there will need to be able to have access to the street and their driveway. Anyone who can't figure out that driveways are not legal to park in front of shouldn't be allowed to drive. I could get in that car with no damage and take the handbrake off and out of gear and push it out the way then I’d tow it a couple of miles away and dump it. You can wedge the top of the door open enough to get a coat hanger in to pull the handle and open the door, I used to work for a garage and I was always getting sent to get people in their cars who had locked their keys in.

I would hazard a guess that the council put the bay there (As they have done in my area) because according to their records none of the properties have a registered dropped kerb (which in most cases means they haven't paid the council the registration fee)

If you break the law you are prosecuted under section "XX" of the road traffic act 1994 (as amended). You are not prosecuted for failing to comply with the highway code

I have seen white lined parking spaces in front of driveways many times. I will not park there due to being respectful to the drive owners. Even if no car is in the driveway it could be out and about and eventually will want to come home and get into the drive. Yes of course the council are morons for the line painting. Easy to solve - use paint thinner on the white lines, or paint them the same color as the road surface. If the council doesn't care that they made a mistake putting that spot there, then they probably won't care if it disappears, either.

Fine ...he blocked your drive way and he is legally entitled to park there or anywhere in the marked parking bay. . there is no white line painted across your driveway that would indicate YOU Have a right to cross the pavement in to your own driveway . Of course common courtesy he shouldn't have parked there. Go to your local authority / council and they will happy to mark that white line for you at a price of £900-£1500
