I am so with you on brand sponsorships Jennifer. While I accepted some products to review in the past, it did not feel genuine to have to review with specific talking points and content requirements. I prefer authenticity in the content I create and consume to product promotion, but to each their own. In my opinion, it depends on what you want out of your YT channel. In your case for instance, you do a variety of things like cooking (I still miss those, Jennifer!), travel, grocery shopping, life events-some good some others not so good- in addition to showing your collection of handbags, both luxury and other, as well as suggesting everyday items in the "favorites" segment. Focusing only on "luxury" had definitely an "expiration date" from the beginning. It had to happen. Keep doing what you are doing. We'll be watching and following your beautiful channel. And most importantly, keep up with your PT!! As a runner I've had all the injuries in the book, but my therapist always puts me back together. Have a fantastic summer vacation!

We lived in England three years back in the 90’s. I so wish I’d done archaeology there. I did a lot of archaeology work here in the U.S. back in the 80’s and part of the 90’s. We visited Scotland many times and loved it so so much. Edinburgh is one of our fav cities. Castles are some of my fav things, too. Can’t wait to see your adventures.

I am very grateful that when you suggest a product or I order something you have suggested…I know you sincerely like the product. It’s like a friend suggesting things that you have found to be wonderful. I have watched KZbinrs in the past who now push endless products. Nothing is a bigger turnoff. I quickly unsubscribe. The worst is when numerous ones pitch the product within a few weeks of one another….to me that just means they all for the offer to pitch something and why in the world would I trust that opinion? Thank you for being you and sharing what you do along with glimpses of your day. It is the most appealing aspect of a channel to me.

Hi Jennifer! This sponsorship discussion is interesting- I love that you don’t take them on, and for that reason, I trust your recommendations implicitly! You have definitely influenced a purchase or two…. I tend to lose interest in KZbinrs who are beholden to sponsorships and fast forward through those parts of their videos. On the other hand, you should be compensated somehow for bringing in sales for these companies! It’s a bit of a conundrum, but I feel your credibility is stronger absolutely, and you have a more authentic relationship with your viewers when you’re not being paid to talk about products. Another thing I appreciate about your channel is the variety of topics you share. When KZbin feels over saturated with luxury purchases, your videos still hold up because your channel is not just a luxury handbag channel. So thank you for being willing to share your life with us! I personally have gotten a lot out of your candid videos about your parents passing and other adult coming of age topics 🙏💕

It's so interesting learning the behind the scenes of a KZbinr. I've been influenced in the past and wonder how on earth someone can give such glowing reviews on something that in reality is of low quality and overpriced. Thats why I trust and love your straightforward and honest approach when it comes to your favourites. I know I can trust your opinion. Wishing you and your family a fabulous holiday. Loved this topic regarding other KZbinrs and the stress their channels has caused them. I can certainly appreciate the burnout some of them say they are experiencing. On the other hand for those of us that have followed certain KZbinrs and loved their personalities and channels and then all of a sudden see they are sucked into a vortex of being a salesperson for company X. Kudos to you for holding your ground. I’m sure being inundated with those requests and having to turn them down must take a lot of willpower and vision. It’s also disheartening when every month there’s a top 10 list of their favorite perfume or foundation and that product is never mentioned again down the road. Adding to all this stress is probably the owner of the platform themselves, telling channels with larger # of followers how many videos they must produce OR ELSE(!) they risk becoming demonetized! Jerusha, I think she will be back in less than 6 months. I did like her channel but I guess I got older and wanted to see more topics such as life challenges and growth and I didn’t watch her as much in the last couple of years, no fault of hers. You do am amazing job and I personally have purchased MANY of your recommendations :)

If someone has the luxury ( no pun intended) to create regular content and not have a financial need to monetize it, more power to them. But, that’s not the reality for a lot of people. Creating content is very time consuming and creators, such as yourself, deserve to be compensated for providing entertainment for viewers.

Jennifer.- I was just thinking how much I love your blonde hair :-). When I did KZbin I got all those offers too but one stands out for its ridiculousness. Nivea contacted me offering me a free tube of Nivea cream if I did a dedicated video for the lotion. They wanted me to do a complete dedicated video for a $6 tube of Nivea lotion and that one product only - with no compensation. One last question - is that raincoat you bought true to size? I'm going on an Alaska cruise and need a waterproof jacket. I hope your arm heals quickly.

Hi Wendy! Thank you about my hair. It's still lighter but less one dimensional, I guess. Ha! Your Nivea story is funny. The range of products offered is amazing (room heaters, wigs, jewelry, food, skin care, car parts...) Yes, I'd say the rain coat is true to size. I'm between a small and medium and I went with medium because I knew I would be wearing sweaters under it. Still gives me room to flail my arms around (a very necessary movement for me, apparently...Ha!) I'm So excited for you on your Alaskan cruise!! That's the one cruise I want to do again! Enjoy and take in the absolutely breathtaking scenery.

I personally don't like videos with sponsorships. The youtubers have to stop in the middle of their video and talk about it for like 10- 15 mins. then the video goes back to where it pauses at.
